I think it's nice to have something positive in the news for a change. I think it's good timing as well to boost the moral of the nation and add to the economy with the increased tourism.

But I don't watch telly or buy newspapers, and it's really not that hard just to not click on the article on a news website so doesn't really affect me.

I'm indifferent. Don't really see how you can be against it. Likewise we aren't in the 16th century and it's obvious the royals aren't special people.

I have to say that im not at all bothered by the whole Wills getting married lark...the media as usual are whipping themselves up into a frenzy. Saying that im no big fan of the Royals...its an outdated concept but fair play to the balding one...about time he made an honest girl out of Kate...she seems like a nice lass...just wish her all the luck having to be a part of the Royal family now.

Her parents namely her mum must be absolutely chuffed that shes bagged a Prince.

Yeah I saw an interview with them yesterday where they said how happy they were, I thought "yeah I bet you are, you will be the in laws to a King, I bet you're damned happy, beats being in laws to a guy who works in Barclays bank or down the local factory"

On the one had its a congratulations like to everyone who gets engaged as that is always something special.

On the other im still very against the royal family and shout down with this sort of thing! I do not agree with the principle of the divine right of kings (and queens) and how it some how creates a national identity. I do not like the royal family, I do not like our anthem and will be in the pub drinking to carry on the tradition family tradition of just not being excited by this sort of thing (Diana's wedding my parents went to the pub and ignored it all, her death and funeral my dad rang up the bbc and complained about the waste of his license fee of seeing 4 channels pushing the exact same thing)

All this talk of Royal knockers. I for one would love to see them, she'll only be 29 by the time of the wedding, I'd imagine they'd still be pert, supple and pleasing to the eye.

Viewing our future king getting married imo is something I'd like to watch. I can't be dealing with conspiracies or getting upset over the funding for it.

All I know is that I'm calling dibs on introducing Kate to my headboard :p

What's the essential difference between "I'm indifferent" and "I don't really care for it"? Is it just that the latter is mildly disapproving of the whole thing?

I think if my interpretation is right then I'm indifferent to it but I'm hoping that the media coverage dies down a bit to a level just below saturation point - I'm sure they're a lovely couple and I wish them well as with anyone engaged but it's not a subject of great interest to me.

I can see the media coverage becoming greater as more information/decisions are 'leaked' out to gain more interest leading up to the day itself which will have run up programs on the pair and then weeks updating us on their honeymoon and progress etc for what is essentially 2 people who are famous by association. I barely see much news lately but webpages, newschannels are becoming bombarded with very little information being stretched out to make a story....
