X-BOX or PS3?

I've packed the 360 away and only use the wii or ps3 these days.

kinect might change that though!
 
These discussions are always far too entrenched to get a sensible answer.

I have a 360. I got it because my friend has one and because I couldn't afford a PS3. Those are my reasons. Yours, and everyone else's, will differ.

I'll go with what the others say, just get what your mates get if you can't decide which.

I bought a 360 first then bought a PS3/Wii last year, the PS3 has been sat there gathering dust waiting for GT5.

Xbox is statistically more popular but this may change over the next year or so.
 
I have both too.

Xbox 360: Easily the best controller, better OS, better services (online play, downloadable games).
PS3: Blu-Ray, no extra costs (Xbox Live Gold, batteries), better exclusives.

I tend to buy cross platform games for the Xbox 360 just because I prefer the controller.

How is it possibly like amd or nvidia? Neither graphics card company has games that only work with their hardware :confused:

tbh he could have used the search option also and its been said so people dont just jump on the "use search badwagon". pro's and cons

Xbox

cheaper
more games
better online service

ps3

blu ray
free online play
better exclusives lately (my opinion)

personally id stick with pc
 
Because you get ps3 fanboys and xbox fanboys, just like AMD and Intel the quality of the product is irrelevant.

Sure you do but still asking what he should get xbox or ps3 is still nothing like asking weather amd or nvidia.

Yes I understand fanboyism, Ive been on the graphics card forum a fair bit over the last few months. What I was saying was even though amd and nvidia have some games that are optimized you dont get games on pc that are exclusive to either of them. I have/had each of them. sold my ps3 but mainly due to the fact i know more people on xbox.
 
I get your point - just dont find it that relevant.

Asking an open ended question like that on either sub-forum and you will get the same type of posts from both camps - thats my point, not the fact you cant play PC games dependent on what GFX card youve got...

No you just don't get all the bells and whistles like Xbox Live such as cross-game party chat, like/dislike players, join multiplayer session in progress, etc.
