FAO Dons or Admins.

The new punishment system seems more fair.

Were the rules I broke seriously considered as major, to result in me getting banned.

I admit I bumped a thread or reduced the price and that's all I ever did as far as breaking the rules. This later actually benefits fellow forum members. Yet there are people who are out there to rip others off, I am actually offended by the end outcome.

Your history:

48 hrs - MM bumping

7 days for > 2 threads and cross posting

7 days for bump / early PD - MM strike 3 removal of access requested.
(Not sure why you continued to have access after this)

Warned about MM YGM Post.

6 open threads in for sale, old ones closed and banned for 7 days.

Registering interest post in MM. 7 days ban.

Early PD in MM. 7 day suspension given and MM access to be removed.

Not sure if this could be an option, but could it be that you can submit a "MM for sale" for review, for me personally I would rather do that than make a minor rule error and clock up a "naughty boy point" ?

It's not worth it. Just don't post in your thread twice in 24 hours or have more than 2 threads open at once and you'll be fine (try not to forget about old threads like me). Also no "I sent you an email" posts to interested buyers.

Where did you get the bit about infractions replacing the old system, rather than used in conjunction?

Erm.....no

Major MM rule break,

1st 2 days,
2nd 7 days,
3rd 7 days + possible MM access removal.

Minor MM rule breaks,

1st infraction,
2nd infraction + 2 days,
3rd infraction,
4th infraction + 2 days and so on......

TC.

EDIT. For the record when I sus I always give a reason.

From the FAQ and what Thundycat has just posted. You used to get suspended for ALL rule breaks in MM and now you don;t, you get infractions and points for minor ones.

However, you, Burnsy, have said that infractions do not apply to MM and the old rules still stand which doesn't match what Thundycat says.

Hence there seems to be both confusion between Dons as to what punishment to give a rule break in MM and hence the forum members are perhaps getting inconsistant punishments?

I also would like to know what now constitues minor and major rule breaks in MM if the infraction system is indeed used.

Thanks

I asked him to contact me via e-mail not to post reasons on the forum.

He's just going to post the reasons to you via email (if he can be bothered).

You had more chances than you should have, several other members have had access removed for less. No matter how tiny you may think the rule break is, you still broke them.

The MM would be utter chaos if people were constantly bumping threads, prices changing more often than a traffic light, and spamming other peoples threads.

As for punishments varying depending on the mod, that's just how it is. I've been warned on these forums for nothing other than making a joke. It's like traffic cops IRL, you'll get a warning from one, but on another day, you might get a fine. Depending on the guy.

I'm always open to looking at emails, but if there's enough interest in it, I'll see if I can get something set up.

Ahh, I think there's a misunderstanding here. I was trying to say that the MM won't be treated any less strictly. The infractions if anything make things more strict as you will always get a sus from two of them which you might not under the old system.

The MM Dons have spent a lot of time discussing our decisions to make the process as standardised as we can make it.

Oh, Burnsy, I emailed you last week at random regarding my *puppy eyes* first ever suspension.

You did not reply to my email, however once I regained access to the forum I realised my mistake and I got what I deserved. Thanks for taking the time to read my mail anyway (even if you didn't take the time to reply - the infraction was in one of your threads, in the end! :p ;)).
