Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

few pics from my system, cant seem to get the AA to force on atm, but that said it still looks pretty good :)

For once having some limited edition only cars were actually worth paying for (i got my LE for £24.99 mind you), the GT500 is awesome :)

Loving the scooby cop car atm

Why does the rear view mirror look white/grey in this game?

Another thing, can you change the scale of the mini-map? It seems useless because it shows such a small area that you can see the same distance on the road yourself.

map seems to show easily enough road to see shortcuts etc, no issues so far

not sure on the rear view, it is good in that other racers are yellow in it and cops are blue, so you can work out who to block etc quickly.....quirky but it seems to do a good job

So this is just burnout with cops as you can pick this up for £24.99 and has anyone tried the MLAA in the ATI control panel if using a 5xxx or 6xxx ATI card?

I must admit I so loved Burnout on the PS2. Was very addictive, it looks like being a cop is all about takedowns and setting up road blocks etc...

If it is I could be interested... I know GT5 is out next week but got a spare weekend and quite fancy chasing down cars as a copper in a scooby..

Those pictures looked pretty good to me, so graphics do look fairly decent and reviews for this aren't too bad... I did play the PS3 demo and I did sort of enjoy being a copper chasing down speeders..

Yep game is like burnout with the cops and robbers element, the autolog is such a neat function as well. Great to see all my times owned :( ;)

However...my game is crashing after about 15 mins of play, I don't think it's a heat issue as i'm not hearing the fans speeding up prior to the crash. Game literally starts looping back on the sound and then locks requiring a reboot. I've tried locking cpus to only having 2 running (1 is unplayable) but still failed.

Just updated Directx 9.0c as I am on xp) if anyone spots anything let me know. Nothing in the event log as well so its dead before the machine catches it

** rats 1.3 secs off your Zonda test drive :( I will get your times ;)
*** MOre tags people or just add tals555, you're guaranteed one friend (me) that you'll be beating :)

Thats annoying about the crashing mate.

That Zonda challenge is quite tricky...it's all about boosting up hill!

Anyone who wants to add me too - Astraben82

I didn't even notice the uphill bits ;) Actually it could have been the Mclaren (might be wrong on that) challenge - seemed very straight so I might be in there ;)

Placed gametags we know now on OP

So is this worth getting? Have loved previous Need for Speed titles (except Shift and Undercover).

Why didn't you like undercover? The game is NFS racing but event to event rather than free roam into race. I think its fantastic but then the physics side never did much for me :)

Would never run on my computer. One of the worst console ports I have ever played tbh. (I actually enjoyed the opening 5 minutes that did work!)

Struggling to get the Driving Force GT working with it. Supposedly they have mucked up big time with wheel support. It doesnt even have it supported on the ps3 lol

why would you need wheel suport the cars drift around corners like they are on train tracks, its probably faster with a keyboard

Could it be that its a driving game and driving involves using a wheel. Why on earth else would I want to use it :p
