***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Those last videos are looking very tidy. The F430 incar view looks perfect. Has the correct roof line and looks really realistic – not a lot of view mind, take a bit of getting used to.

The Merc video with the dash all lighted up also looks very nice. Have to admit, I’m wanting this game more and more. I watched some older GT1 PS1 replay videos last night, we’ve come a long way since GT1. I always thought GT1 would never look any better….

How wrong I was.

Apparently there are three versions of the cockpit camera and one of them is almost looking straight through the windscreen without any of the other stuff in the way. :)

Really? Oh right now didn't know this. That's a nice touch if its true. the in car views are without doubt the best and I can see my garage being full of premium cars just so as I get that 'amazing' in car view and feel...
 
I'm only going to use the premium cars. I'll just totally ignore the other cars, if that means I'll be missing out on loads of other cars then so be it.
 
The videos look amazing! Shame about the guy driving the car though, the F430 video he did so much of it wrong! (I know rain is hard to drive in but still the approach to the S's was terrible)

I couldn't do that, its going to be a real hassle not having a cockpit for 4/5 cars, but at the same time, I'm not gonna bypass hundreds of cars cause of it, I just wish they had made a generic style cockpit for them even? Or just a blacked out silhouette of the cockpit for that car :(

Same, I use the bumper cam anyway so it doesn't make a difference to me.
 
They should have made some of the old cars premium. Premium or not premium, I don't mind, aslong as I enjoy the game it's that what counts. I hope the Multi player is good and people actually race instead of playing bumper cars.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but premium means there is a cockpit view, but all cars have a bonnet view? If so, that's fine by me, I'll be playing with a wheel, and I hate seeing a virtual wheel/hands on the screen, my brain seems to obsess with how much they're lagging behind the real physical one, too distracting!
