You would do well to read the thread before posting;)

RIP to the pilot...must have been a hell of a crash if he couldnt eject out before hitting the ground.

They will SAY he was downed and SAY they found things, if it 'looks better' to say the plane crashed as opposed to stolen by an enemy state, the crashing scenario is less embarrassing to the US gov.

If you don't know the media are told what's most appropriate to what the gov want then that's abit naive ;)

They *COULD* of course be telling the absolute truth but we will never know, unless we all head out there and inspect the crash site (if there is one) 1st hand we will just have to take there word for it.

Millions of times various governments have told the public what's convenient to stop stories getting out of hand.

His plane vanished, oh it crashed is the simplest shortest most believable story.

Oh im not one of these UFO sorts or anything, im just saying, he vanished, they say it crashed, end of, probably true, its just there seemed to be some odd mystery why he vanished and they didnt even have any mayday or anything, such is life.

You think a CFIT? Could be a YDFG, or maybe OSDF? Highly unlikely to be a UGTTE though, if the ETA at the ATC could be ORN then he's have had the time for an SOS, anyway I've had enough of typing Acronyms to look as though IKWTFITA, so TTFN.

At east he did an acronym that really exists :p

Could have been anything, maybe a blackout or something equally as disabling (yeah I know there are precautions for this).

Flight into terrain, I'm sure there are plenty of features on the plane to give you adequate warning. Either way :(, at least he died doing what he loved. :)

(if it wasn't a run to the other side, in which case we'll probably find out in 20 years).

EDIT: TBH he's unlikely to be alive, if he was he would have set off his EPIRB (or whatever they call them in the US military), which I'd assume was attached to his flight suit.
