My SSD life - is this OK?

Hi,

Just found this program, and this is what it shows:

Is this normal? Ive only had the drive since July.

Just downloaded that - how did you get the SMART and Throughput working on yours? It say's I need the Pro version.

Ive have a similar program with my Corsair nova ssd on my laptop.

And that reports around 90%,not sure how accurate these programs are?

Seems strange to me, the Crucial SSD's have a lifetime of around 1,500,000 HOURS, that's a lot of years.

Not sure really. Compare to yours, my drive's lifetime is much longer but my total read and write values look artificial:

Maybe OCZ Vertex 2s don't relay that information correctly.

I'vee DL'd the programme, it just says calculating the SSD life, has been for good 5 minutes now.

You don't need pro, leave it installed and it will log your SSD usage over the next couple of days or so......it takes a while for the features to start showing.

Try Crystal Disk Info and see what it says about your SSD.

I leave my PC on 24/7 and it can go for weeks before even a reboot. I shut it down last night as it had been 19 days without a reboot (and before that it had been 2 weeks before I needed to restart).

Could that be something to do with this?

CDinfo looks to report the SMART info for OCZ drives correctly (except for the temp).

Only tool guaranteed to display SMART info for OCZ Vertex drives correctly, is OCZ Toolbox. Though the display is fairly basic. And the temp display on this is FUBAR as well.

Don't most SSD's come with a 3 year warranty though?
