lol. You'd have to get a wheel as well as the PS3. It should be worth it - I'll let you know after I play it.

I think it will be close. Many people ive talked to, bought a ps3 just for gt5. You don't hear many say i got x console for a black ops.

Well maybe. It is true that games sell the console. But if COD black ops was 360 only? would anyone rush out and buy a 360 for that one game? I know I rushed out and got a 360 for Forza 3 but did Forza 3 sell like GT5 on release day?

I ask, as I don't know. But I guess Forza did sell very well, and pre orders were high but I bet it wouldn't come anywhere near close to black ops being across so many platforms..

I honestly don't know, I just know that black ops sold millions at launch. I feel single platform games can't really outsell popular cross platform titles, as the audience is much bigger for cross platform then single platform...
 
Played it today in GameStop.

Initially thought it was Prologue, then went to XMB to see it was GT5. :)

Didn't get a WOW factor, but it looked good and noticed no performance issues.

Don't quote me on this, but from looking at the trophy list I should be able to bag "111 Meters a Second – Achieve a speed of 400km/h" "Speed Demon – Achieve a speed of 300km/h" and "Colorful - Collect 256 paint colors"

The speed ones for sure as I have the good old Bugatti Veyron. Can easily crank 400Km/h from it.

You really will need a wheel Fox, I cant imagine you using a standard controller and enjoying it :p

There should be downloadable content in future, yes. Some of the car choices are a bit bizarre :(

I'd be surprised if it didn't get the most sales for a platform exclusive. It's the only game that everyone who I know with a PS3 has either preordered or is buying on release, with one of them buying a PS3 a few weeks back in preperation.

In comparison, only one out of six of us bought Black Ops.

Not a great trophy if it is, as no doubt youll have access to cars that can achieve those straight off the bat in Arcade mode irrelevant if youve moved your PSP collection over...

I would not be surprised if all Trophies arent Career locked and have to be obtained by purchasing cars that can do those speeds...

That I do, 2 at that :p

Managed to squeeze 268mph from the Veyron last night, that's just short of 450km/h

EDIT: OK so it is 431 :o
 
Really dont know if i should trade F1 for this, only just got it, but also really need GT5, as for the 45mins install you dont have to do it, the game has a feature where it installs incrementaly when you unlock bits.
