I don't think it has.

Thinking of buying this do you think Shopto are actually dispatching it now or just packing ready to post later? I'm going away Wednesday so need to decide if I can order it or not and where to deliver it too :D.

Sure thing, should be here tomorrow I hope. Tiresome maybe, but not ********. I live in hope that one day PD will at the very least fix some of the problems that have existed since GT1 on the PS...

You could be lucky and get the game tomorrow. I've had my dispatch note since Friday evening, so I'm hopeful for tomorrow as well...

If not, then wednesday.... I'm still wondering how the head tracking works, not heard a lot about it. I've got the camera, as I got this with a move kit. Apparently you turn your head in cockpit view and the view in the game moves, a bit like track IR for a PC.

Sounds great - if it works...!!

I'm tempted to pull the PS2 out of the cupboard for a day of GT3.

EDIT: I think you can use the wand to move back and forth too.

Head tracking doesn't sound great to me. Unless you have a cinema screen and sit 2ft away, you won't be moving your head, it will be your eyes. So kind of pointless :p

I'd prefer if it used your head tilt to determine which way you are looking, turning your head needs to be greatly exaggerated or you'd be looking out the corners of your eyes, and for that you need accuracy which limits the conditions it would work with using just a camera only.

I've got a PS-EYE all hooked up and ready to go, but I don't have awesome lighting in the room, I hope it's enough!

GT3..!! what a game that was but not as good as GT4, Pennzoil Skyline and you was unbeatable. I transferred all my credits etc into GT4 so GT4 was advanced much quicker and I thought GT4 was the better game...

It was like this with the Playstation. I thought GT1 was pretty amazing until I got GT2. That was mind blowing for its time. i've still got GT1 and GT2 in a box, and I've got GT4 sat on the shelf somewhere in the games pile.

I have no idea what happened to my copy of GT3. Anyhow, using a ps move wand to move back and forth??

Ahhh 3 is still my favourite, 4 is probably technically better, more cars, tracks etc but 3 has the best music in my opinion and I know they use the same game engine but I like 3's graphics better, no idea why it just seems like less content but more polished, that probably doesn't even make sense! :p

Umm yeah about the wand, I heard it when someone was doing a voiceover for a gameplay vid so it may not be true, he said something about using the Move controller to look around the car cockpits.

Hmmm ok maybe you can use the wand in photo mode like a mouse? Not heard anything about it, but knowing PD wouldn't put it past them.. Casually mentioned GT5 to a guy I work with , his response was it'll be rubbish. Erm ok then. Despite him actually buying a PS3 some months ago for GT5. So that was a bit confusing, hoping to get some office banter about GT5 - guess he wasn't in a talkative mode today.. lol

Oh and GT3 was excellent. I remember playing more of GT4 as it was about the last game I played on my PS2 before I sold it to fund a new TV purchase back in 2007.!! lol

to think, I got the PS3 back in March 2008 just for GT5. Better late then never I guess although to be fair I did know the game wasn't going to be out for some time after I got the PS3.. It got used for other stuff, so didn't waste my £300...

Today? So if its been despatched today won't that be tomorrow? I've got mine coming from Shopto as well, I got my despatch note Friday evening.

edit - sorry you did say tomorrow.. Erm hmmm maybe I need to have a rest.. lol

apparently GT5 is their biggest ever pre - order, which is quite impressive for a single platform title. I'll be happy if I get mine tomorrow. That'll be a day before release day...
