***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Really dont know if i should trade F1 for this, only just got it, but also really need GT5, as for the 45mins install you dont have to do it, the game has a feature where it installs incrementaly when you unlock bits.

F1 2010 and GT5 are two different types of racing game. I'm keeping both, as F1 2010 allows me that F1 fix, hopefully GT5 gets the GT itch out the way.

I can understand trading F1 2010 in for GT5, GT5 is a more interesting sounding game. Has a lot more features etc... F1 2010 is just F1, GT5 is Rally, Nascar, Karting and GT world circuit racing...

They are two types of racing game, bit like how you play Dirt 2 along with forza 3 on a 360...

Not saying don't get rid of f1 2010, but consider if you want to continue an F1 career as well as race, buy, tune and enjoy a GT style game with extra content such as karting and Nascar...

Is there really any huge difference between the Driving force and Driving Force GT wheels? I can get the former now, but not the latter for about a week. Can't be bothered waiting tbh. :o

Actually thinking about the same thing - missed out on the PS2 so never played those GTs - just not looking forward to Composite :/

ps3ud0

Same, I bet that my scart lead will make the picture look fuzzy as hell, like my TV needs shaving or something. :(

I have a G25 :)

Perfect for GT5 then..;)

didn't you buy a 360 just for Foza 3? You're as bad as me, maybe look around for a PS3 bundle and think if you'll use the media streaming from PS3 or anything else catches you're fancy on PS3 before plonking your hard earned cash for one?

If you're into racing games, GT5 could be up your street. I know you're a bit of a petrol head;) no offence and PSN is free so you can race us lot for free, unlike the 360.

I never got to race forza 3 online. I refused to play £30 - £40 a year to play a single game online... Least I'll get to play online this time around with GT5, as its free.. woohoo.:p

I have the DFGT and its a really good bit of kit for the price, if you can hold out. As with all logitech wheels, the more you pay the better they are.

its up to you, the DFGT is perfectly fine for any GT game, its what it was designed for anyhow.

Thought I'd get off my lazy ass and go further to get the DFGT for today. :p

Reserved and picking it up in a bit. :)

I have had a quick go after the long install... Its ok. I dont really want to say too much as its not out but if you like GT you will love this. I think it falls victim to the hype machine, some parts feel very unfinished, the screen tearing is quite noticeable but i cant see it really putting people off too much its by no means a game spoiler. Some of the shadows are a bit random and the damage is well not really that great unless i have missed an option there.....
The big question i suppose is it better than forza 3 i would say yes in some ways, but no in others. Forza seems more finished than GT.

Anyway i have only played a very small amount of the game and i,m going to have a better blast tonight when there are no kids hanging off the wheel... Oh thats one last thing in my opinion the game is miles better with a wheel i struggled with the crappy ps3 pad but with a wheel its miles better.....
