Purchased some upgrades for my comp this morning using *****

Went with them because they were the cheapest. Since had a long think and done some reviews. I didn't know they were a France based company and am now looking to cancel the order. Went into my account on there and says I can't cancel my order and to contact support. Too late to do that now, but I will ring them in morning. I've sent an email anyway.

What do I do?

I only placed it this morning and really want to cancel it to instead get the stuff I want from here at a more expensive price, but at least I will be confident.

Reviews after reviews just say how bad they are. Long delivery times, fault products, manuals not in English etc etc.

I paid for it using my mother's card and just gave her the money. It will probably take weeks to sort out now.

It says on their website and also according to reviews that if the order is processing then there is nothing they can do which seems stupid. If it hasn't been sent out by the courier then surely I can cancel it? Just says if this is the case, not to sign for it and wait until you receive an email back off the company saying they've received it back and then will be able to get a refund.

I used paypal to make the payment.

Can I ring the bank up, with my mother and get the payment cancelled?

thanks in advance.

p.s - sorry if I already did this thread and it was deleted, but I'm on dial-up so not sure if it went through.

ty :)

Ohhh.

Just bad reviews has got me worrying.

I thought that maybe ti was too cheap for a reason.

The website has its prices converted into pound sterling. It was only when I got an email confirmation it came up, also with their address which is a France one.

Will I be able to plug the stuff straight in? Like into a UK plug?

I want to go with OCuk now anyway, but I just need to cancel my order with this other company, if possible, and get a refund before I do anything else.

Well it was my router I got from them, everything up to normal d-link standards. The plug came with some sort of travel adaptor kind of thing, then its just a normal uk plug if some what larger due to adaptor. Dont know about voltages/wiring so dont know if you could just stick a uk plug on it?

I can't understand what you are really annoyed about? Do you mean you are annoyed with yourself because you didn't research your purchase?

I did a lot of research to make sure what I'm getting will be right, but not so much on where I'd get it from.

I looked for the cheapest over anything else.

I'm just worrying that due to bad reviews. 3 out of 5 stars, that something will go wrong. Also, the company being in France.

France is just over there *points*...

What exactly did you order?

Why don't you just see what happens?

OCZ PSU Pro ModXStream 700W

Gigabyte 1GB GeFroce GTX 460

and a 22 inch monitor.

I suppose I will have to see, but I will try my best to cancel it if possible.

I don't want to take the risk with my hard earned money and I think it is a big risk going by reviews and people's experiences with them.

Seems strange I can't even cancel the order as I only placed it at 10 this morning, and I haven't received a dispatch email. Just says to contact customer services for more details, so I sent them an email and will ring them tomorrow. :)

EU Distance Selling Regulations act 2000..

What cancellation rights do consumers have?

3.23 Where the DSRs give consumers the right to cancel an order, this
right is unconditional and begins from the moment the contract is
concluded. Unlike when buying from a shop, the first time that a
consumer will typically have an opportunity to examine goods
purchased by distance means is when they receive them. The DSRs
give consumers who buy by distance means more rights than
consumers who shop in person. When a distance consumer cancels a
contract to which the cancellation provisions apply they are entitled to
a refund of any money they have paid in relation to the contract even
if the goods are not defective in any way.

Like I said in the first thread you made, don't get stressed until it turns sour.
Why try cancel when nothing bad has happened. There's no guarantee your order will be ****ed up anyway.

OT: How is it possible that some people are still on dialup?
