Undercover Police bike following an EVO on some country roads...

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a special license where, if you owned a car meeting strict criteria and took some form of advanced test, you would be allowed to drive at higher limits on certain roads in certain conditions? :(

Well, you can do this, it means giving up your family, losing all your real friends and becoming a....(Wait for it...)...Police Traffic Officer. :D Nee-nah-nee-nah-nee-nah

Check out this vid for a really fast run of the mountain. During the IOM TT race period, the whole section is one-way (both lanes) .

I lived there for 5 years. Fantastic place if you like a spirited drive. Best time to hit the mountain is 6am on a summers day - you'll have it to yourself. It's also not that dangerous - most of the corners are very open so you can see through them.

As said above, TT fortnight is fantastic now. It used to be just mad Sunday that it was one way but now it's the whole 2 weeks. It's an absolute adrenaline blast to be doing 150 on those roads for about 15 miles, then stop at the crag ny ba pub to calm dow, take the coast road back to Ramsey and do it all again!

there is an old video, years old, where a Mitsubishi Shogun Evolution, on the IOM... hounding a set of bikes, and then passing them.

cant find it now :(

question is, how is this vid online, if that was a police bike, would he not be in some serious bother for uploading that vid to the net?

The Evo driver got it as evidence against him when he was prosecuted for doing approx 100mph in a 40mph when slowing down during that video.

It explains all in the link to the evo drivers forum.

Ah, I did wonder how he got away with that, also, could crossing the road markings whilst cornering be classed as dangerous driving? It's not like he was overtaking anything so that must be wrong in the eyes of the law?
