Undercover Police bike following an EVO on some country roads...

Silly boy, unrestricted roads and still manages to get nabbed for speeding.

oh come on, would you think a bike following you like that was a copper? I certanly wouldn't.

The evo must have been rather powerful though, the bike sounded crap mind lol.

Amazed someone so into cars didn't know about the Isle of Man :). (I don't mean that in a negative way :))

I didn't know that either and I think I'm reasonably car addicted :)

I know its obviously not speed restricted for the TT (duh ;)) but thought normally it was standard speed limits,

Will have to pay it a visit!

Ah, I did wonder how he got away with that, also, could crossing the road markings whilst cornering be classed as dangerous driving?

On an open corner? Don't they *teach* that in Advanced Police / IAM circles? Something to do with flattening the corner / getting out the way of potholes / leaves in the gutter etc?

I do it all the time...

Positioning yourself on the other side of the road is perfectly legal - coming up to a left hand bend it gives you better visibility around it and flattens it out as well. Funny how some people on the MLR board describe it as 'swerving all over the road' - I'd have described his riding as smooth.

I can't watch the vid in the car, but if the hatched markings have solid lines its far from perfectly legal, quite the opposite in fact.

but as its the IOM I expect the road markings allow for maximum race mode

Where have hatched markings come from? I watched the video last night (complete non-event imo) but I can't remember any?

I belive the only time you aren't allowed to "flatten the bend" is when there's a solid line on your side

That was my impression too...

I take your point re speeding Will, but I thought that straightening the bend was legal, albeit caused people that don't know to whinge, a la merge-in-turn?

I actually have no idea, I thought I read it somewhere in the thread

go easy on me I'm old :(

Nah. You are the Peter Pan of the forums WG.

The day you smoke a pipe and have a box of mints and tissues in the rear parcel shelf then I might accept that time is catching up.

I am starting to like Jags ..... a sure sign of age. :(

xxx

Worryingly I do have a box of mints, but they are still in the front of the car, however I have noticed them trying to migrate cunningly to the rear but I've thwarted their efforts thus far

just off for a fly and to annoy hook, back later
