whats the most serious illness/health problem you've had

Jaundis.

So long ago now, I can't even spell it!

It makes your poo and wee turn different colours - which is kind of groovy, if it didn't make you also feel like you're dying .. and wierd doctor demanded he look at my nuts every time saw me. To this day I'm not quite sure why ... but then again, I think we both enjoyed it ;)

Erm broken collar bone is about as bad is I have had.

One of the kind black belts congratulated me on getting my brown belt by doing that for me :(

Dislocated my kneecap 6 times and finally had a full reconstruction on my knee 3 years ago. Lost out on a lot of time rehabilitating and also when unable to walk/go anywhere. Luckily not done it again since I had the major surgery. Touch wood!

asthma as and had suspected meningitis a few times too as a kid.

More recently big bike accident, broken femur, buggered knee that will never really feel the same or have the same strength again, and more surgery this year to re-break my arm from said accident because it was non union.

Broke both of my little fingers and dislocated my middle finger, not at the same time.

Persistant knee pains that I should probably get check out too.

Seems I've been quite lucky so far

*touches wood*

i had heart attack 2 years ago, which required 3 stents, Now i have spinal cord compression on T7/8 vertebrae due to the disc slipped and has gone backwards into spinal cord and calcified. Operation possible but due to heart and being on blood thinners an also a major op success of comming through are not in my favour. They would have to break my back by removing 2 vertebrae which will give access to the calcified disc and then put back together with spinal fusion and scaffolding of metal. This all done from front and side of chest with 1 lung deflated and bottom left rib removed. Outcome if i make it are not certain and could be in more pain that when started

so at the mo outcome of my life is a day by day thing and tablets

Never been really ill apart from the chicken pocks etc.

Had my head split open twice though! :D

Depression.

That sucked.
Still does, sadly. At least I'm better equipped at handling it now.

I had bronchitis as a child, but steroids fixed it in the end. My heart stopped beating for a minute when I was 19, nothing was found to be wrong and I haven't had a problem since.

Brief, but hideously unpleasant, was the winter stomach bug that I had the other week. I spent nearly all morning on the bog. From time to time I had to chunder as well, and after a while I got fed up of trying to turn round to throw up in the sink so I just did it on the floor in front of me.

That was a rubbish day.

I had a very similar day (and night) to you a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't a happy boy!

1. Appendix Removal
2. Acid bloody Reflux which I have now
3. Recovering from a broken wrist that needed surgery to put metal plates/and screws through my radius. Its my arm that I use for manly activities - so thats the worst part!

Nothing too serious as yet.

severe anxiety that lasted for about 4 months.
had an-alcohol induced ectopic heartbeat that last for 4 days or so - in the midst of the anxiety stage. that was incredibly unfun

I think that is similar to what I had with Mastoiditis. I dont think its rotting though, just wax leaking into the Mastoid bone, its supposed to be dangerous though, or it was a while ago :p

It came about as a result of many glue-ear infections I believe.

The operation I had was a Myringoplasty. Very much a destroyed inner ear :p

Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Not to bad now, as it's managed, but awful for the first while I had it. Couldn't do a thing. Bit gutting that I can no longer really play racket sports and the like.

Rheumatoid Arthritis and an alergy to gold injections which was funtime for a few days. I had almost every symptom you can think of: never been more ill!

Wish I got offered the gold, I'd love to have gold running through me! :D
