Is a cast iron griddle pan ideal for cooking steaks?

That is the sort of pan I would use for a steak, yes.

As for original question, you can't really go wrong with cast iron, as long as it's what you want and a good price.

I'd get Le Creuset over Denby, but yes its a good pan.

I used to use a griddle pan for steaks and whilst the lines are nice I find a normal pan gives a better 'sear' and finish in general. I think I tried as Ramsey used a standard pan and thought I'd give it a go.
