Gt1, GT2, GT3, GT4 and now GT5 - all the same. Just updated cars, newer tracks, old tracks and HD graphics...

Yep thats all I want to. I've loved each GT game and don't want it to change, even if some parts of Forza are better (AI and sound being the main two).

how do you actually get hold of old cars? lol trying to do the japanese classic or the world series etc, I cant see any old cars.

Keep checking the used dealership. The cars change but I don't know how regularly. I had my eye on a car that had done over 300k (to get the trophy) but it vanished when I next went in there.

I had to skip the classic races as I didn't have a qualifying car. The next day, an old jap car appeared. Use the time to do an event or a licence activity.

HMV did the same for me. Lucky I'm honest.

Mate called me last night. His GT5 arrived yesterday from HMV and so did the copy his bunghole of a neighbour ordered. Wrongly delivered to my mates address.

The neighbour is total knob to his other neighbours, always moaning about parking, bins etc.

So my mate popped the knob's copy of GT5 back in the post with 'not known at this address' on it

Best car in the game so far for me: Buick Special '62!

Won it after getting gold in the muscle car race, was about to sell it straight away as I thought it looks like an ugly old rust bucket, then realised it had 560bhp

Took it out for a spin and omg it's awesome, just fitted a supercharger, over 700bhp now

Not bad for an old rust bucket

How do I get all the cars for arcade mode? When I go for an arcade race there is only like 30-40 cars :/

I prefer 'quick steering', it really helps me in getting to max lock as quickly as possible

Those settings are tight! I was like at first, set the Lin to 20 now and getting used to it. Cheers.

Have you changed the pivot point on you pedals? I put mine on 'short throw/hard' for Forza, in this though it feels like it hardly needs any pressure or movement to lock up.

So where are all the wet/snow tracks at? I am on Professional A spec right now and just finished the GT Cup and still have not seen a wet or snow track other then Arcade mode.

Also disappointing to find out that the Veyron is non premium

there in the special area in gtlife, you need to be lvl10 to do the rally stuff.

Well on b class lessons and can't for the life of me get gold on the 207gti going around the corner thing.... Made me get out the steering wheel and still can't do it.... Didn't feel right at all with just the pad

With reference to your statement on the shadows, how do you know this is an easy fix? If it were easy it wouldn't of been in the final product.


fixing the tearing issue is probably easier than the shadow's.

standard cars that look worse than the cars in TDU 1 ( 2006 this came out ) is unacceptable.

Unfortunatly you are right about the shadows, they are not an easy fix. They won't ever be fixed really, they are like they are because there's just not enough memory in consoles to hold a higher resolution shadow map.
If you drive the nurburgring you should notice the shadows being worse, which is because the resolution hasnto be spread over a much larger area.

You'll see the same ugly shadows in many games using the same technique, don't expect it to get any better this generation

I do feel it brakes that illusion of beautiful cars far too often, but I know they'll have struggled with it for months.
