Tempted to replace my sig with that quote :D

ps3ud0

I went away just after posting that and attempted the T2 challenge again.

After several failed attempts there was a tap on my shoulder.

The Mrs informed me that my last Clarkson like NOOOOOO! as I once again failed to get 1st place on
lap 2 at Gambon, had just woken the Boy up and could I please be a bit more quiet when I fail ?

I gave up :(

That said, I've just got Gold all sections of the first 2 Nascar specials

LOL :o I did that a few times last year but in my case it was excessive use of the F-Word :o

Be prepared to be infuriated with the Intermediate NAF.... whoops NASCAR set :D

why have they made the top gear challenges so tricky though? The camper van was hard enough but the lotus challenge is like being on a knife edge..

I had to brake with my foot still on the accelerator and then left off the accelerator otherwise I slid or skid right off the track..

Even when going through the follow through I had to lift off otherwise I 360 right down the runway...

All other challenges are fine... just the top gear test track..

ahh just bought thew representation of my own car in the game, i saw it 2nd hand and even though i dont really need it - i had to have it! Corolla Runx Aerotourer! sweet. its much harder to drive than my other car the golf and good fun as the handling isnt that good:)

the one thing that is really getting on my **** is the Disqualification system in some of the events..

Request
Can anybody send me a Japanese Classic Car made before 1969 please :) Can't find any in the used car section and the Dealerships don't have any classics :(

PSN: Thesnipergecko

Do you mean 1979? (The Japanese classics event in the Beginner series).

Edit: I bought a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (KPGC110)'73 and easily one all 3 of the races with it. I have gifted it to you. It cost 53k so give it back when you are done with it!!! :)

You can upgrade the brakes there is quite a few posts in the GT5 forum about this

There is so much misinformation flying around, that pic does not show Brake Upgrades, that's the 'tuning' page for your car, you can adjust brake bias (Quite why all cars have brake bias controllers as standard is odd ;))..

There is no 'Brake' section in the Tuning Shop, that's where the brake upgrades would be!

PD makes cars feel 'good' and 'real' by putting artificially slippy tyres on the car, this makes them slide and move around, which we all like, but as soon as you up the power of the car to something like the lotus (Using Sports->Hard I believe), you end up with something ludicrously unrealisitic..

You will see that the defaults for higher power cars are Sports->Soft, but a little daihatsu will have 'Comfort->Mediums' on..

Kudos to PD, they've been taking this approach for ages, and it means people can choose the tyres that make the car feel 'right' for them.. it's when you get forced into having these 'linglongs' on when you don't want them, it all falls down..

I'm 21% complete with the game after about 15hours of play so far.

The bulk of my time has been spent golding licences. I have all of B/A/IC golded, working on IB although IB-3 is quite tough, but I'm only 0.08 off the gold time after ten attempts so I'll get it tomorrow I expect.

The AMG driving school is excellent, although I already knew the ring, it's a lot of fun driving those cars on that track and trying to beat the gold times.

I've got gold on the first two TG challenges, the key to the Elise challenge is being very gentle with everything, particularly how you shift the weight of the car at speed. You can outbrake the other cars into all of the corners, so the positions can be gained relatively easily.

I definitely miss the customisation options of Forza 3. Although, when you find a car you can customise with aero parts and the like, the results are superb, I just wish it was every car, or at least more of them.

Also the wheel thing is plain silly. Really don't know why they've taken such a backward step with the wheels after GT4 and even GT3. I would like to be able to select from all of the wheels by manufacturer, if they want them to be unlocked over time, so be it, but don't make them random (or restricted based on car) as they appear to be now.

Nice one on IC all gold. I got a few silvers on those tests and haven't gone back over them yet. All gold on IB and 8/10 gold on S.

I thought I knew the ring well till I tried the AMG driving challenges, I keep missing the gold time by 1-2 seconds :(
