You checked the opponents list before you enter? Choose one and use that :D ;)
 
Picked up a nice car for my B spec to use in a couple of races last night form the 2nd hand motors, Skyline with cops lights on top, practically annihilates them on the championship mode ( 3 races ) in beginner and amateur, don't have to issue any commands, almost like cheating :p
 
Pick-Up Truck !!

I'm now lvl 16 doing the Expert Series in Spec-A however I can't finish the Amateur series as I don't have a Pick-up truck. I had read you can buy one used however I've been watching the Use Car Dealership for the past 2 days and there hasn't been a single pick-up truck :(

Any help appreciated, I'm going mad...

Be patient. I managed to get a Ford F-150.
 
I find i need to spend fortunes on tuning every car i buy just to keep up with the AI , in amature races anyway?

for instance the yaris race and japan car race i only had a vitiz and blubird both needed a lot of tuning just to match the AI?

The VW camper van thing is very easy once you know how. Sideswiping the other vans (not too hard, though) is the trick to overtaking them without getting disqualified. Also draft/slipstream as much as you can. It make a huge difference.

If I can get to 2nd place by the end of lap 1, anyone can!

Edit: Also Don't use the brakes apart from when approaching the Hammerhead. I just release accelerator and then sort of slide the car sideways, then accelerate when I am facing the right way. Not sure what the technical term for this is (powersliding?).

I got bumped by one and got DQ'd, also cut one up a bit into Hammerhead and he hit the inside tyre barrier, which also DQ'd me. Harsh game, but awesome :D

Was messing about online last night with stellasuppa a mate and a few random peeps on laguna seca they all had zonda's and cars like that so went round in a fiat 500 :p think i got 3/4 of the way round before getting lapped :p .
