The 2TB version

Anyone tried to defrag their 2TB F4 yet?

I've tried o&o defrag & defraggler and both seem to stop at 35/38% and I have left both defragging all night long and they still seem to never get past 38%.

Given you have already tried a few different programs the only other thing I can suggest is to run the defrag from within Safemode. If your running Windows 7 then you shouldn't have to manually run a Defrag as this is automated and runs on a schedule anyway.

Yes I know it does this m8 but the drive is slowly getting slower and slower and theres only 830GB of stuff on it hence why I tried these 2 programs but both struggle to go past 38% even when left on all night which is a bit strange.

Defraggin in safemode was my 2nd option which I will do later on tonight.

You sure the drives health status is ok ?

Yep everything seems fine just ran activesmart and showing drive functioning as normal no errors at all.

I use my 2TB F4 as storage for films, has 651GB split over 450+ files.
I've just fired up Defraggler, ran the analysis and it's reporting:
  • 0 Fragmented Files
  • 0 Total Fragments
  • 0% Fragmentation
Now either my upgrade to Windows 7 has introduced some super-efficient disk management, or the Sammy has some very good firmware controlling it.:D
Or its gonna die on me tomorrow....
