A GIRL of seven racked up a £250 bill in just one hour on Facebook - in front of her parents.
Megan Fox asked to play Petville - an internet game where users can buy virtual clothes and furniture for a make-believe pet.

But dad Matthew, 35, had forgotten to log off his stored PayPal payment details.

He got an email billing him for 400 US dollars for Megan's games session. Matthew and wife Dawn, 33, pleaded with Facebook and PayPal for a refund but were refused.

The couple, from Birmingham, don't let Megan have her own Facebook account so Matthew allowed her to log into his as he sat nearby.

Paramedic Matthew said: "She was playing the game, asking which dresses we preferred. We played along, not realising she was actually spending money. I was mortified when I found what had happened."

The site's rules say the account holder is responsible if someone in the household makes purchases.

Facebook said: "We urge parents to take responsibility for their kids."

should they have been refunded???

No, the service has been used, and as such should be paid for.

If his daughter had downloaded games from steam you wouldnt expect a refund, so I see no reason why it would be different in this case

Oh come on guys accidents happen, they're not bad parents. Just had to have a go to see if you could get some money back, who wouldn't.

They obviously knew you could buy stuff on these games as they had a linked Paypal account, so it's not much of a stretch to think a 7 year old could inadvertently buy some items.
