***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Loading times don't seem anything longer than normal for PS3 which always loads a bit slow IMO, can't agree the graphics are crap, some textures are a bit naff but when racing it's hardly a issue, and I thought you could play your own music? sure I seen the option to set up your own playlists.....

You can, but I've read that playing any music in game while racing means that the available RAM takes a noticeable hit.

This is the only game I play on console, so maybe I am spoilt playing the rest of my games on PC.

But I have seen games on PS3 that look far far better than GT5.

Dirt 2 looks far better and considering how long ago it was released GRID gives it a run for it's money too.

There's a lot of inconsistency in GT5, some of the tracks look pretty good in places, but others are not good at all. This screenshot says it all really.

Game keeps crashing while i'm re-starting the driving tests. Seriously getting sick of this now, tempted to **** it off on eBay or MM.

the random dealership is about as retarded as the AI in this game...rant over, just had the ****test 4 hours of this game.

oh lets by a dodge for the american muscle car event and then slowly waste 100,000 to make it remotely compete with the other cars...ffs. what a sack of **** event that is....advice do it last!

Hi @ All,

I've got GT5 now and it's amazing.

I just don't have no online friends. I wouldn't mind adding a few of you if you can share your PSN tag. Would love to race sometime.

I'm starting to dislike the game like yourself, I swear when I played GT3 A-Spec it wasn't as retarded as this. This just doesn't feel like a Gran Turismo game to me.

With the long hard week at work finaly busted at dinner, popped in to the supermarket on my way home, grabbed the last copy they had:)

Got an hour on the game this afternoon, no suprises it's grand turismo, same style and spank of the previous games, with the addictive hook of the one more race/more credits... i want that car!!!

I could think of many many things iv'e spend 35 quid on that ain't a patch on gt5... I look forward to playing some more tomorrow:)

Picked this up with a 320gb PS3 for £260, seemed pretty reasonable. Got Uncharted 2 as well. Very, very excited :D.

I've got a feeling peoples own short comings are showing. I bet you don't have to spank 100k on the car to compete.

This feels very much like a GT game. You have it easy as hell at first then it gets harder.. It's a learning curve. Some people will moan at anything.

theres a seperate thread for this....search!

No need to snap the guys head off because you ain't getting on with the game is there?

Agreed. A good many races and championships can be won by using the cars you're awarded when you win a series of events.

Some events pay out 57k for a gold so it's pretty straightforward to amass upwards of 750k quite early on

tried my G25 wheel with this earlier and really prefer using the controller, messed with all the settings too but just didn't feel too good

anyone else prefer the DS3 over a wheel ?

luvvin the game btw, despite its flaws, it's the whole idea of gran turismo that's appealing and fun

trying to use the prize cars to win races until I have saved tons of money, makes even the lower level races challenging!
