***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

I've got a feeling peoples own short comings are showing. I bet you don't have to spank 100k on the car to compete.

This feels very much like a GT game. You have it easy as hell at first then it gets harder.. It's a learning curve. Some people will moan at anything.

actually no, if you had done the event yourself in the car that is recommended by gt5! you would no exactly what i was on about.
you have to spend at least 50k to get it into a 6 gear ratio setup with matching rpm;s as it only has 4 to start and given the event is on monza im not sure an original top speed of 115mph is my fault somehow :o....

its very easy to claim oh your raging becuase your **** or whatever instead of actually looking at this game and realising that some things dont add up.

i guess you have an excuse for the stupidly retarded ai that seem worse then gt3 and 4 together ? where they dont even realise your on the track!!! this is school boy crap thats been adsent from racing games since the mid 2000;s - yet its gt so it gets a free pass.

is it just me being impatient and pressing buttons too much - but does anyone else often start in 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th at start of race and not enough time to get back to 1st ?

Nope.

The loading times are pretty quick now they have resolved the connection issue thing, it hasn't crashed, I haven't had wacky graphics (or i've been concentrating on driving AKA the point of the game).

Personally im getting bored of it now, but it's not a fault of the game, but because my interest im gaming has waned quite abit since GT4 when I was 15!

It has however, brought my student house together, we all attempt licenses/races and will be doing endurances so it's not all bad.

One thing I don't like is the fact the TG Test Track isn't go anywhere, it's limited to basically the course. Why didn't they bother doing the aerodrome? Even if it isn't as accurate as the track itself I wouldn't mind blasting down the runway :(

Started B-spec mode now since I am pretty much stuck on A-spec. I need to get one of them "race cars" you see in extreme series but they cost 4.5M :(

I'm going to run into that wall soon. Took the 1.5m I had saved up and bought some cars for the early races and tuned them so my dipstick B-Spec driver may actually win a race. Now I need some more for the Professional series but there's no money :o

Right what car did you use? and I'm guessing you are on about the American muscle event? I'm up for a laugh/challenge. Will be fun to see if I can drag it's ass into 1st with spending less than 50k. (Although you said you had to spend 100k?)

You seem to in a perpetual state of anger

You won't accept another person's POV and you won't take advice that is freely given.

Relax, dude, it's just a game
