Steam - Black Friday Sale

Aren't you running the risk of getting a CD Key thats been PB banned or just banned from lots of servers though if you get it 2nd hand?
 
I guess there is a risk, but I had no issue with my 2nd hand copy of COD4. If they are a good seller with decent trust I'm sure they'd refund if it happened.
 
Perhaps, but anyone selling a copy of MW thats been banned from PB knows damn well it has been banned and will almost certainly not care about refunds.

Though i seem to recall there been something about how it might be possible to contact PB and if you can prove its been bought second hand they might revoke the ban. Sure i saw something to that effect a while back.
 
They are like Heroes of Might and Magic series i heard, checked vids and it seems true so i order the pack myself which is a good deal.

Turn based strategy from the look of the trailer.

On the games being cheaper in retail this is true but older games are almost impossible to find in stock. Before I bought Arkham on Steam I was looking at game and they were always out of stock on certain games that were over a year old. Steam is almost always cheaper as a digital distributor in my experience. There's also the convenience factor with steam at least if your bb is reliable your not subject to the post or the weather/parking.

It'd been posted on Steam forums a few days (a day perhaps?) before the Black Friday Sale's started. So far it's been correct and I wouldn't expect any deals to get missed in the lot.


I've bought Deus Ex, CSS, Batman, Half Life 2 (gifted) and Tropico 3 Gold so far. Looking forward to purchase King's Bounty: The Legend in a minute.

Sad panda as I missed Freedom Force gift pack deal yesterday (£0.50 each :eek:) but I don't think it has been posted around anyway. Wondering if anyone's going to post more GTA: Episodes from Liberty City deals on MM? Looks like a good deal for a fiver. I'd rather have a whole pack though, finished the game on Xbox 360 and would prefer to get back to it on my PC sometime. I hope it's going to be in Christmas Sale for £6.25 (75% off) as a pack.
 
I got the Lara Craft game for a fiver, I must say it's light years ahead of all the others.

You don't see much of her cleavage, but otherwise a great game.

Couldn't wait to see if anyone else was going to buy the pack with time running out, so did it myself :D

Hoping just cause 2 comes up on the sale, then I can add it to a huge list of games I've bought off steam and never even installed....
