Ok so I am test driving this tomorrow.

What should I be looking out for on the car and have to any advice for dealing with the stealer?

I've already heard over the phone how popular the car is and that they will be selling it in the next few days. rofl :D

I'm also very aware that its the end of the month and the guy might just be desperate to boost his monthly figures. - me wishing

Disbelieve everything that comes out of his cake hole and don't leave until you find at least £950 worth of faults ;)

That seems quite expensive - I got my parents Z3 3.0i from a BMW main dealer for only £1k more than that - and it had the factory aerokit which is very rare. And that was back in 2008!

Looks nice. Only 2 previous keepers as well.

Says it has finance on it dated 25/11/2010 for 6 months, probably a dealer arrangement though as the agreement type is 'unit stocking'.

Nothing else of any interest, just a plate change to S99GJW in August this year.

Good luck :)

What options does yours have that this one doesn't, and vice versa?

That's just the stocking loan the dealer will use to fund the stock. It's odd you'd have access to this sort of information free of charge yet not know that for certain :p

Xenons, Red Leather, and Aerokit but no Satnav or Carver stereo. This one also appears to be an SMG... which is worrying, as SMG is crap.

Thing is, it's a Z4 - Nav on a Z4 is nothing like as desireable as it is on something like a 5 Series and does not in itself justify the price, and remember - this was nearly 2 years ago! Thats a 7 year old car now..

If you can get it for £9995 I'd be thinking it's a decent deal. However I'd think long and hard about buying an SMG model - the SMG gearbox isnt great (It isnt as good as SMG in the M3) and it isnt very reliable either. You'd be MUCH better off with a manual.

I suppose :p I don't need to know anything about the particular finance arrangement, just whether it has finance or not.

Gah I missed the sequential sport gearbox :(

Is it worth test driving it even?

I also wouldn't pay the full £11k.

O and cheers for the help :D

Canceled the test drive today.

Have found this the only thing thats worrying me is that it looks played with and has too many non standard options.

Are the wheels an option on the car from new, are they even BMW alloys? (never seen them before)

Awesome, rules that out then. Dam finding this car is harder than I first thought.

My tick boxes are:

Colour: not gold/yellow
Engine: 3.0 (2.5 if its considerably cheaper, but they never are)
Mileage: 30-50k, but will spend less for more miles (max 70) as long as it doesn't have a major service due in the next 5k ish.
Gearbox: Standard Manual
Budget: 11k, but must tick every box

Head over to z4-forum. Therea a 2004 3.0 se with xenons, m sport seats, 70k miles - reduced to £8375 iirc. A buyer let him down last minute as it was too far to travel and he already has a replacement Z4M. I'll get you the link in a min just on phone.

Just had a quick search and one of his previous posts mention the southern lakes so presume he near the bottom end of the lake district. I'd say it's probably worth the journey though.

You are beat signing up to the forum and PMing him to get in touch. Does mention it's on pistonheads and eBay ( or was ) so not sure if you'll find it.

yer signed up and pm'd him, theres another car of interest on there, but it is a little expensive due to the alloys.
