Hello GD,

How are you this eve?

My girlfriend recently found out some fantastic news the week just gone:

1) She got a permanent position offer from a 6 month contract, which ends in Feb! Amazing considering the current times.

2) She has been leaving her self crums each month as she was dumping every spare penny to pay off a loan, when she called last week like routine, she was told it was to be her last... HUGE releif for her.

I am so proud of her for sticking to her guns in both scenarios and working hard acheived something.

Therefore, I wish to take her away this weekend, she has to drive though, so no further can a couple of hours drive from my location (Reading).

Sort of a break in a fancy Hotel with a spa of some sort, out in the sticks with a local pub, no idea. Nothing in a city, nothing hectic like a huge drinking session... Just something nice, the 2 of us. Want her to know she means the world to me and every penny spent will make her smile.

SO GD! Without further adue, spec me a weekend away!

Other peoples' experiences will be different to your own. Other peoples' tastes will be different to your own.

Spend an hour on the internet and find the look of something YOU BOTH will enjoy. Honestly.

Hmm, good call mate, already looked at a few of those virgin experiances. Anyone got any experiance?

I was thinking a hot air baloon ride over the winter wonderland... But very much doubt one will go out in this weather lol.

Somewhere on the outskirts of Bath could be ideal? Could you not be tempted to stay in Bath city centre?

We've stayed here a couple of times: http://www.hintongrange.co.uk/default.htm

Really lovely and not far to Bath for the Spa and associated Christmas frivolities. Try and get a Victorian Bather room which is pretty romantic, each room comes with a build your own log fire to if I remember correctly, not cheap mind.
