Call of Duty: Black Ops

MW2 host would normally mean 5:1 K/D ratios not 1:5 like on this. Even a full mag doesnt take some people down, it makes no sense.

Host advantage does exist in Black Ops, I have benefited from it a lot recently with this game as between 7-10pm I normally always end up being host.

The difference is night and day, pretty much 2-3 bullets to drop most people when I'm host, yet when I'm not host this goes up to needing 5-6 bullets to drop someone.

I know what you mean though sometimes it can seem other players wipe the floor with you when you are host (this happens a handful amount of times a week) and I'm thinking it is something to do with the lag from the other player.

Is it me or has host advantage got worse? I shot at this guy, the sound went down it went really laggy and then I died...And who killed me? Ofcourse the guy doing like 28-5 due to the fact nobody can kill him...

What I hate is the obvious Halo players who ******* jump around everywhere shooting.

It's not as bad recently as when it first came out, but oh my it's annoying.

Sounds like a lag peddle in action.

I hate them as well. Why include a jump button anyway? It serves no purpose! The button should just make you climb up ledges.

been online for about 2 and a half hours playing domination with 4 freinds.

Was so easy towin, we won by about 100points each time atleast.

Easy to co-ordinate and great fun :)

We had one guy at each point, then 3 running around helping out when they need it looool

one guy had 70 for 6 on nuketown cos he got dogs, and chopper gunner twice :D

I really like the threatre mode. I was playing with a couple of guys and it looked as though they were boosting eachother 0 kills, 10 deaths, then 0 killls - 12 deaths.

I watched the game again on threatre mode and.... he was just a really really terrible player :D

It's also great for seeing where all the campers hide out as well, which I left some nice claymores for them. Something very pleasurable about seeing a camper fly off a roof by a claymore ;)

x2 on this, I was finding in black ops sitting unloading full clips and actually hitting them and no death wtf. On a plus side at least the majority of the trolls from MW2 have left to go to black ops lol. I've sold the game, back to mw2 for me!

What was nowhere near as bad in COD4?

The graphics? You need to go back and load up COD4 to see how tired the multiplayer looks these days.

Even COD MW 1 looks better than the ps3 version of Black Ops.
The texture draw distance in ps3 COD BO is very short to say the least, game looks like it has been dragged thro mud.
Not to mention the awful framerate.
Will give the ps3 version one more patch to see what can be sorted out, if not, then my mates on the ps3 version will have to play on without me, as i can be quite happy with the 360 version.
Just have to cope with the randoms i guess.

Would someone explain the Nuketown HQ spawn system please? I just don't get it at all. When I played Dom on Nuketown the spawn system was fine, teams generally kept to an end, but on HQ the spawning was horrendous, they were just everywhere!

Yea i noticed this too today. I think it's because the game aims to spawn the players a fair distance away from the HQ when it's online so that one side does not have a better chance to get to the HQ when they die. This however is kinda difficult in a small map like nuketown. (My theory).

The difference with this game is it finds a new host every game so the variation is more obvious. I still prefer that to staying being in a lobby with a naff host that never changes until he or you leave.

Host does not change during the lobby, if the scores remain in the lobby until the next match begins then the host has not changed it will be the same as the last, the only time I have ever seen it change in the lobby (i.e. score reset to 0) is, as I said, when the host leaves.

Host advantage does exist in Black Ops,

I find you notice it most in wager matches. Play a game when you aren't host and you'll only win if other people get more kills than you,and by that I mean if they are just lucky enough to see more people to kill than the host. I played a few games of gun game earlier and was host,if I saw anybody I downed them with 2 bullets from any gun(or 1 shot from a sniper). I only didn't win as I spent a lot of time running around trying to find people to kill,or people spawned behind me and stabbed me:mad:
There's no way i'd play wager matches for lots of money as host advantage makes it totally unfair.
