***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Anyone struggling with:

LIKE THE WIND and GRAN TURISMO ALL STARS

Buy, Race Modify then Tune a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

It'll set you back ~600k, but it works :)

Well that was a tense moment, but it did send ok! lol

No rush to send it back btw, keep it for as long as you want.

All received. I now have so many cars off other people I have to make a note of which to give back in every 24 hour period!!!

christ if that list jonneymendoza posted is even remotely true it seems PD seem mega ****ed off at Sony....but man come on 6+ years is plenty of time to make a game!

so they will essentially shovel what was supposed to be in the full game as dlc??? sounds about right....essentially meaning the gullable will be paying double for their game and then some.

Working my way through some B-Spec races right now. Had to resort to buying a ZR1 since it will be needed for a few A-Spec races also, just need enough cash to do all the upgrades to it.

Got over 100 cars now, only bought less than 10% of them :D

What power does that put out?

Working my way through B-Spec atm, takes bloody ages.

Also my R8 V10 is my new favourite car :D

Depending on where you look its either 880bhp or 893bhp. Weighs in 1100kg giving a power to weight similar to a tuned/lightened Veyron at 800bhp/tonne. Also has an awesome aero package to give you crazy downforce levels.

For the Indy track I geared it to 240mph and set the aero to max front and rear and walked it :)

Guys, if anyone has a problem with sending cars and it says "Uploading Failed" the following has remedied the problem for me every time:

After the uploading failed message DO NOT press OK. Press the PS Button and quit the game, it will not harm your game save as the game is not currently trying to save anything.

Once quitting the game simply relaunch, on the main menu go to options and scroll down to network where you have a clear cache option. Clear the cache and then go back into GT Mode. Your car should still be in your garage.

Try this method at your own risk people, but I've done it 4 or 5 times and it's worked each time for me. :)

There's no indication that this is even true, there's also no indication that the DLC will all be content you have to pay for.

Like the wind race at Indianapolis you need to use the Corvette Zr1 with racing mods. Tune everything to max and change your oil. Set downforce to max and your gearing to 244mph. Very easy then. Stay in their slipstream though and you may have to do a bit of blocking.

After half a lap I was well clear with those exact settings  You don't even need to lift for the corners in the ZR1 :D :D

God B-Spec is annoying. I'm having to upgrade cars I won races in easy just because the AI driver is rubbish! Talk about a waste of credits!
