As title wonder what lame excuse they will use this today..

29 Nov 2010 15:10 Leeds We were unable to deliver your parcel, track your parcel here for regular updates
29 Nov 2010 07:41 Leeds Your parcel is on the vehicle for delivery
29 Nov 2010 05:12 Leeds Your parcel has arrived at the local depot

That was for a 7-8pm time slot btw. So they know 4 hours minimum they can't deliver, twice in a row, why bother with that freaken time slot if ur not gonna even try, useless *****

Personally im getting sick of there excuses, Ocuk know my feelings on them, as this has happened to me before, give me a time slot, then hours and hours before that decide they can't deliver, yeh right, more like the driver can't be bothered.

The more this crap happens the more i feel like buying elsewhere, and in all honesty its not OCuk's fault, i totally can't fault their service its second to none, the tech support, the sales support by far the best iv dealt with, i am just hating DPD atm, bunch of useless *****. DPD at times makes Ocuk look bad, when its not their fault..

Ok rant over, and awaiting hate posts/bans or whatever lol.

i feel your pain.

you are correct in saying it's not ocuk fault but only DPD'S fault.

it does make you want to use someone else after you get so much grief from a courier company not being bothered to deliver when it is there job after all.

have you written a e-mail to dpd ?

could just be the driver they use or could be the depot not being so efficient.

worth a rant at dpd before you go anywhere else and as you say....dpd is the only thing wrong with the service we all get from ocuk.

never had a problem with them personally. But then i have never had to request specific time slots AND i live in the middle of edinburgh so i imagine their service will be better city centre :/

ive never had a problem with dpd either but some place's seem to be having problems as of late but could be due to xmas on the way perhaps.

Ended up picking my order up from OCUK yesterday as I was luckily just working down the road. Was meant to have the delivery last thursday but DPD told me on Friday that they had lost a load of labels off packages and didn't know which one was which. Found out yesterday morning they had just sent it back to OCUK. After contemplating re organizing a delivery I found out I was round the corner, problem solved and got my delivery charge refunded as well :)

Luckily should be working down there at least a day a week from the new year so should just be able to pick up in the future

iv never had an issue with them, untill the last 2 delivery's, the last one i informed ocuk about, as its their contract that dpd is failing on, still may inform them about this one.

Just annoys the hell out of me that they do this time slot, but don't even bother to try and deliver, last time it was the same notice i got given, 4 hours early, and they said they can't deliver.

Ok this time i can understand due to weather, last time was no issue

ahwell 7am and still no update from them....dpd that is not ocuk.

Again totally can't fault ocuk in this matter, i ordered it was packed, passed on to useless dpd.

I can't fault dpd yesterday. Tracked online and said estimated delivery between 1639 and 1749 hours. It turned up at 1649 hours.

On a seperate note it could be much worst, they could be using home delivery network (hdnl)!

When you consider the logistics involved in getting a a parcel from A to B, then there's always going to be a few problems at some point. Particularly this time of year. I'm always amazed at how a parcel can arrive as quick they do. I bought a motherboard off a chap in MM from Scotland.. Posted on Friday and arrived first thing Saturday morning. Just standard first class parcels. I've never has any problems with DPD, nor any other....

As for your particular compliant, I would contact the shop and ask for their advice.

Well to consider i sent an ebay item via royal mail first class the same time my order was shipped, and said royal mail delivery was delivered before 12pm yesterday, in the same weather conditions, and those conditions at 3pm (when dpd said they can't deliver) where the same, just goes to show how crap dpd can be at times.

But as i said earlier my complaint is'nt with OCUK, i can't fault them, service is second to none, and trust me i shop around, just dpd suck for me atm, i just may be really unlucky.

Where do you live?
I used to have plenty of problems with them when I was in the countryside for a few months. Many times they couldn't even find the address ...
Funny as royal mail didn't have a single problems with it.

On the other side tho, in either London or Cambridge, never had a single problem with them, always next day del and on time.

Well failed to even try and deliver today, got an update at 11am this morning saying yet again unable to deliver.

I know the snow atm may slow them down and things, but this has happened in the past even without snow about.

Location is'nt an issue, im not in the middle of nowhere, its just abit annoying that they just don't bother to try and deliver, but hey ho, i'll keep waiting lol.

I was waiting for UPS today. Claims the wether is too bad to deliver.

It was good enough to get the package TO the depot. I work past where the depot is, the roads are clear. Very poor excuse.
