finally got bronze on the jeff gordon special event ( the track where you have to go round without hitting the wall or cones and do it within 13.400 for a bronze , it took me at least 100 attempts just to get the bronze:o

after a while you get fed up with jeff gordons voice , "dont hit the cones" , "remember the car is heavy" shut the hell up.
 
I have tried some B-Spec events, after reading some of the comments I went for an Iceman and so far he is great, not one spin at all, at the start I tell him to increase pace and overtake and afterwards slow him down and he is faultless.

But one thing I was wondering though is how much money and time it will take to get 1000 cars in the garage, it must take 100's of hours and 100's of millions :confused:

Oh, and Nascar sucks, I hate the tests to go low or high, very difficult to be so precise with the analog controller.

Same here mate, Ive got Gold on all the B license and the A license except this Shumacher S Bend, ive done it in 13.826!! Impossible to get Gold :confused:

tried it with my pad then just couldn't do it got the wheel out got gold on them all easily, Very hard to make slight movements with the pad.
 
I agree Nascar is a total nightmare with the controller, took me ages to get gold on the high cone one.

Really need to buy a wheel :/
 
I've managed to get at least Silver medals for all of the licenses up to I-A so far. Not looking forward to the next licenses.

Decided to try out some races and I'm trying to do the Toyota Vitz race at the moment, I could only manage 3rd place in a standard Euro Sport '00, then I put some upgrades on it to take it to 110BHP (ish) and swapped the glass windows out to make it lighter but I still struggle on the Start/Finish straight, everyone else just seems to fly past in cars which seem equal to mine.
 
I think I got mine to 120ish bhp but its still not enough on the straights, got first, but you have to make up a lot of ground on the corners before the straight then they should only just catch you as you cross the line.

i read somewhere a few years ago that PD hinted it wanted to bring gt5 into the pc platform as they pretty much were limtless to what they can achieve in a modern gaming pc.

lets be honest guys, pc's wouldnt have any tearing, graphical or framerate issues and also all those lovely photo mode shots of cars could be easily rendered in rea time gameplay in a modern gaming pc.

I did not have too much trouble with the Vitz race, I used a Vitz price car I receieved and I did not have to tune it much, maybe a different ECU

What track is it you have trouble with?
 
So it's not just me that used the F-Word a lot with NASCAR and a DS3. I can't be bothered about getting Gold on them because it's nigh on impossible. If I use that magical word much more at home I'm going to get banned from playing my only game :\
 
So for all the people with wheels, anyone got a Fanatec Carrera wheel? Been looking at these and even with the optional clubsport pedals it comes in at ~£170 which is very competetive to say the least.

Have i read that wrong? ~£170 for the Fanatec Carrara wheel and club sport pedals??? I have just paid that much for those pedals alone. :(

As for the Fanatec Wheels, the Carrera was only launched yesterday afaik, i have the 911 Turbo S and its awesome, but no longer available it seems.

Oh really? I literally just checked their website yesterday and it is listed at 159.95EUR.

Just looked closer at the accesories page its 40EUR for the colour kit, not the actual clubsport pedals haha :o My bad people! I did think it was a bit too cheap! However in the review by InsideSim they still give praise to those stock pedals :)



PS. @DAIR: Yeah she is hot, kudos to the producers bagging her.
