Feel your balls!

Urologist appointment tomorrow morning, very very nervous at the moment and I don't think I'll be getting much sleep! I have never been good at coping with situations like this. :(

For those of you who founds lumps and bumps which were benign, what happened to said lumps and bumps? Was it some kind of swelling that went away by itself? Were you prescribed antiobiotics or something to get rid of it? Was surgery needed?

If you think there's something wrong go and see a doctor, it may be a scary experience but better knowing than not knowing mate.

No, there's nowt wrong with me balls. I was just wondering. So there are fellas out there with additional lumps in their scrotum - these cysts and varioceles? Just left alone if they're not causing pain?

Oh and good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

There are men with additional lumps within the scrotum yeah, there are many many benign things they can be but usually they're just harmless cysts and normal anatomy.

I get my wife to check mine.

With her tongue.

Just got back from the Urologist, I'm less anxious now. He showed me the scan and there was shadowing over the testicle, he said normally a tumor will be more clear but he still wasn't sure what it was.

I had a tumor marker blood test done there and then, he said he needed to do this for reassurance. I will be having another ultrasound scan on Thursday, carried out by a more experienced technician.

I've just got to hope with every bone in my body that the tumor marker levels come back at a normal rate.

Cheers

I hope everything is ok mate. Been to the docs myself this morning. Had a severe pain in one only since sunday (bad enough for me to go to A and E) and was prescribed antibiotics. The pain has not gone but has dulled to a bad ache now so the doc gave me a good looking at this morning. Having cold hands check them out was not fun and then just to top it off she stuck a finger up my backside. Been prescribed a few days of legs up and open as walking around is not helping and have to go back in a few days if things have not improved.

I just got home from visiting a walk in clinic at my local hospital. Couple of years ago, I was concerned about a lump around the left nut, they told me nothing to worry about, it's to do with the epididymis. In the last few days I noticed a pea shaped thing (approx 3mm) right at the very bottom of the same nut. More easily found when standing up. I'm not sure if it's the same thing or if that went away and if this is a new thing. The female doctor asked me if I wanted to see a male doc and I said no, I'm fine with you (). She had a feel around, couldn't find anything at first but then said "oh wait, there is something" and thinks it's a epididymal cyst at the bottom of the epididymis. She said nothing needs to be done about those cysts, they're benign and pretty common. It's highly mobile as she put it, meaning it moves around, which is a good thing, as cancerous lumps are apparently mostly non mobile. She's very confident it's nothing to worry about. I said "so you're pretty confident it's not cancerous, doctor?" and she said "oh no no no, not cancerous" with a big smile, but recommends I go see my doctor to arrange an ultrasound scan which is what can really tell what's going on. So I'm gonna do that tomorrow. Pretty handy these walk in clinics when your doctors surgery is closed. It's put my mind at rest to a great extent.
