I dont think you do, you get them for Winning all races in one difficultly level i.e. a level 5 car for completing all the beginner events, level 9 for amateur events and so on

The expert(?) set of races, the set 2nd from top in A-spec which features the Polyphony Digital Cup and GT All Stars. You don't need to win every race if its a championship race series (like the GT All Stars), but when you're at the 3x3 grid view of all the races you need a gold cup by all of the 9 events to get the car

Cheers, worked for me and just downloaded the Jaguar XJ13.

I just did the game 3 separate times to create 3 grudges, each time picking one of the 5 players it suggest (picking friends and my locale did not work for me).

Then on the main screen it says no grudges until I click "See All my Grudges" then you get the codes.

Yep, the 599 is a GT cruiser, not a racer.

Things like this can be avoided by disabling autosave and trying the car, hopefully they patch the game to make that possible.

I read that Autosave can be disabled but I haven't checked and if it's like GT4 it still saves after buying a car.

Yeah I think that would speed loading times up especially for the home screen, oh and being able to buy brakes, why have all that horsepower and your trying to stop it with standard brakes.

VSpec and Zonda have cermic brakes. Pretty sure I have pics of them glowing

The Nissan Skyline R33-GTR Premium's brakes also glow red under heavy breaking. I think the Premium cars brakes glow, and standards don't.

Thanks for the tip with the Chevy ZR1 guys. Great car and it easily won the Like The Wind competition for me. Since then I've just been using the Toyota 88-C and owning everything! Got a lot of cash building up now.

How is the handling of the Toyota?

At low speed it's a bit twitchy and you have to be careful with the gas pedal. Higher speeds upwards of 70MPH it sticks to the road like it's attached with velcro, absolutely unreal amounts of grip.

It is awesome, however you can get wheelspin in 3rd gear at 100mph when putting the power down so it can be a bit tricky out of the slow bends with all the oversteer.
