Who has hung their keys up for the winter?

Uh oh, snowing in Hursley, I guess I'll find out what the 156 is like in snow, I'm predicting traction control off, stability control on being the best config.

My Z28 is garaged for the winter. Old tyres + live axle + V8 = large accident in the snow. Plus I don't want any salt anywhere near it.

I am using a crappy old FWD Accord to see me through the snow/winter.

What a difference a day makes! Sludge all over the place, time to go car skiing!

What part of south landen are you from?

Coming home was a bit of a head mess for me. No settling snow whatsoever around work, but just 4 miles down the road and it's packed full of sludge. I heard it's much worse on the proper outskirts of London (Croydon and such)

Helping push a stranded Jag XJ up the tiniest of inclines made me glad I left the beast at home and got the train in .

The snow really didn't seem that bad around Clapham way today? (Albeit it I was Clapham junction side rather than Clapham common).

I wasn't driving but this morning had snow all down the back roads which is where all the normal people live. Those Australian and Polish flatshare people on the high street were probably okay :)

All the cars I saw in difficulty on the way home (15 minute commute took almost 2 hours) were RWD. Me, BMW 1 series, MX-5, S2000, MGF etc.

I just want to give thanks for the rice tip earlier in this thread, woo no ice this morning on the inside of my screen, was so nice not to have to scrape it off and have frosty slush all over my lap :) I'll be sure to keep a fresh batch of rice in my car throughout this winter :)

I think they doubt a £1 option in asda, but i havent tried them myself, also rice is wayyy more than it used to be, that tilda basmati rice is like 3.60 in asda!
EDIT: im not suggesting tilda basmati rice show be used for this purpose however :D
