HTC Desire HD (Ace)

I have a friend who is on O2 and wants the DHD, but O2 are not doing it. I know CPW are - has anyone on O2 upgraded through CPW - how does it work? Do you still keep your contract with O2, or start a whole new one with CPW?

Has anyone noticed with the DHD how really still you need to be to take a good photo with no flash? The slightest move and it blurrs out, isn't their a feature on other phones where the camera will stablize itself as a photo is taken and I'm sure I read something the other day that this stabilizer feature was missing from this phone?

I find the HD video recording very good but I do think that it is light dependant, I did take a HD video while outside the other day while it was snowing and it was very clear when I uploaded it to my laptop.

It's the same on the Desire too, You can increase the ISO to 800 and that will increase shutter speed and minimise shake but it increases image noise considerably, just have a steady hand :p

Well folks, the world can rest in peace now, I got my Desire HD :D

It took me 98 posts to get it
Picked it up from the royal mail depot this morning. Now it's gonna sit in it's shiny box next to me for the next eight hours before I can take it home and play.

Can I pop the sim in and use it right away or do I need to charge her first?

Yay, fixed HTC Sense now.

If you're having problems this is what I did:

- Reinstalled Locations app
- Removed and re-added my HTC Sense sync account (same user details)
- Sync all
- Untick Phone Finder in Locations and sync all
- Tick the above and sync all again

Wait until the sync has finished every single time just in case. Works perfectly now :).

All fixed now thanks :)

lol rogueblade, enjoy!

I went through e2save for mine, which is part of CPW, i did an upgrade deal through them and i am on O2, so although O2 don't offer the phone themselves you are still able to get it on a new O2 Contract or an upgrade like i did, keeping your same number.

Been looking into this phone for a couple of weeks and after having a brief play with a colleagues I am pretty certain I will upgrade to this. Now I just have to wait until the 4th of Jan which the earliest I can upgrade, dammit. :p

Has anyone got a guide on the best way to tweak this phone out of the box to get best performance out of this phone including battery performance?
