Hi all,

just wondering if a WD 1TB 5400rpm Green HDD would be good enough for frequent SD video playback, occasional HD video playback and just general file archiving, or should I go for a 7200rpm? There's like £25 difference, so if I can get away with 5400 then obviously that would be preferred...

Itll be absolutely fine. 30mb/s is good enough for HD playback or recording so a drive rated to achieve (and tested to) around 100mb/s will be more than enough. The WD10EARS fits this bill nicely :)
