What does the Race Modifying do if anyone knows please?
I think it adds a bodykit to allow downforce adjustment front and rear and possibly also weight reduction.

The main advantage is the downforce as that allows much better handling in corners and you can adjust it to get rid of understeer when applying throttle.

Race mods provides your car with a tight gear ratio, some mid-stiff suspension settings, it really turns the car (pun not intended) into a beast. Cornering characteristics are immensly improved, car feels much lighter and responsive. I had mods on Civic Type R EK9

Perfect thanks chaps! Favourite cars at the mo are the Nissan Silvia S15, EK9 Civic, FD2 Civic and my '69 Camero SS... Love how the cars feel on the track. Tires make so much difference. Yet to try any cars with racing soft tires, currently sticking with Sport soft as I'm a tight arse with the credits on there lol. Going to give race modifying a go... no doubt best to do it before I do any other mods. Looking forward to playing this later!

Anyone else found the last top gear event to be very buggy? After the first corner you can move to 5th place because half the AI cars crash into each other and go the wrong way where the track corsses over. Got gold on my first try :D

Fingers crossed for the Supra!

Bet I'll get the Panda...

Well Mattbill your right on applying the race mods first thing, but mind you they're damn expensive at ~120k credits, I would reccomend you try this on the EK9 premium model, and then ADD stage 3 turbo, Stage 3 Engine etc to get it to ~389bhp.

This EK9 will be so Quick around bends (understeer may come if you approach corner too fast), that you will be able to keep up with the likes of Castrol Tom Supra's and Mclaren Mpc on the Nurburgring as it literally puts Supercars to shame, one of the few cars that beat me were a Veyron @ 1006bhp and a fully tuned up GTR SpecV, although it takes Expert level driving skill to beat these Chumps.

Have fun.

Does anyone know you can easily know what car you need for the A Spec races, rather than going into the event, looking at the long list of Entry Requirements then coming out, going into the dealership and finding a car??

Seems a bit long winded, why cant you see the list of valid cars you need for the A spec, like a scree or something and buy the one you want? rather than listing all fo them, even then it might not be in there!

Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks dude... that is pricey! Could well be worth it though, but will give it a shot on the EK9 and see how it goes.

It's not buggy, because the track crosses over itself there are two races going on simultaneously, there parts where the track crosses over are the parts where the CPU in your race tend to get wiped out by the CPU in the other race.

:)

Oh and:

Looks like I've a good chance to get something half decent. Yellow Bird for me please.

:p

It isn't long winded, you have to go the event you want to enter and look on the entry requirements, I fail to see how that is inconvenient. You can also access your garage at the same place, so if you look at the event and you're not in the right car you don't need to go back to your garage through the loading screens, you can just access it in the bottom right corner once you've got the event requirements on screen. If you haven't got a car in your garage that can compete in the race then you will have to go to the dealership and buy one. If that's inconvenient for you then I have to ask if you've ever played Gran Turismo before?

:p

EDIT: I'm a retard, I was just sorting through my mails and realised I have some unused stealth car codes... doh. :(

No, there are so many different rules with years and tyres.

I usually go into the requirements and go to the garage there on the bottom right to see if I have a car that qualifies.

If not, I wait to see if I get a prize car later or look at the competition and decide which car to buy.
