***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

I just beat pro Gt world championship (won the veyron) . Im Physicaly shaking after that championship !. Constant battle for over an hour to keep car under control and watchout for the car behind to try and steal first place ;) Buick Special 62 - awsome car.
 
Anyone done the GT world tour in the special events mode?? The second part is a 2 lap battle at Monza and is the easiest 79k credits in the game! :D (you can nail everyone from 15th-3rd on the first corner)
 
Surely the easiest credits in the game is selling the F40 you win for B-Spec La Festa Cavillino for 125k odd! ;)

98k for 5 laps of Indy is better :D but you need to unlock it at level 23 I think :D

I got up to level 25 now, still have not found a GT Formula to buy so all that is left to do is the endurance races and grind, which not sure I can be too bothered about doing.

I have about 8 million so will probably just grind to get the Ferrari F1 car then hope they fix online out and add more series via DLC, hoping they will as the grinding for XP is just a terrible game design flaw, even if they add more special events that really help the XP that will be fine :p
 
wow just had one of the best races with jcwhite, Oil_slickz, nmcdonald and think it was suicyco-4-life and another guy in monza in the wet using f40's :)

quali sessions started in the rain so most of us was on wet whilst jcwhite used inter's.

when the race started the rain stopped and we was racing in a wet damp road. i had some amazing battled with Oil and mcdonald.

At the first corner i put myself into 3rd from 7th with only mcdonald and jcwhite ahead of me and managed to keep up with both and on the 2nd lap, jcwhite was already long gone whilst i was just a few inches away from mcdonald on the long straight just before the final corner and did not want to risk trying to overtake him as i would have to go into the gravel a bit to do so, so i backed off and maintained pressure on him until i oversteered in that last corner and out of nowhere, Oil_slickz overtakes me!

Oil_slickz and mcdonald where now a few seconds ahead of me battling eachother out on what seems like a close battle(Oil_slickz and mcdonald, care to share what happened in your part) and on lap 4, at some point in that lap Oil gained 2-3seconds lead ahead of mcdonald. i then overtook mcdonald midway into lap4 as it seemed he must have spun way out of control as i saw him along the gravel facing 90 degrees away from the track.

i passed him and only just over a lap to go was on the case againts Oil_slickz. me and Oil_slickz where both nervous in the final lap as we both made mistakes in similar corners and i was maybe a second away from him after gaining closer to him in the final lap. it ended with Oil_slickz taking 2nd spot and me 3rd.

Great race. one of the best experience i have had in this game online.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, It's rarely useful cars though, just bought the Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex (S.Shigeno Version)

Who could resist a 52k Hachiroku, especially one 'owned' by the creator of Initial D, pity it doesn't have Fujiwara Tofu Shop down the side tbh :p

Quite nice though, 207bhp/825kg stock, although not sure what/if any mods it can accept being a 'special' version...
 
Just golded all if IB now, the last race (with the Gallardo) is ridiculous, if they hit you you get DQ. WTF.

Anyway after much drifting round corners and avoiding any cars which like to suddenly swing into you i've done it.

Next stop: Gallardo race
Stop after that: Try and gold IA, but god knows how I'm supposed to do that slalom, barely silver it :(

Then I guess I'm onto doing B-Spec, as you win cars there which I could have used in A-Spec :rolleyes: (HINT FOR PEOPLE DOING IT!!!)

Is the 'Vette ZR1 the *only* way of doing all stars? I've got 80 cars most of them above 400 HP and about 10 over 700, but nothing that has the required 900-1000 BHP/tonne. :(
 
I got really excited that I could blow my 250k winnings on the best car in gt4 (the M3 gtr) only to get it and find out it was just a 320i race car :( (still excited as its the first gt race car I have that handles properly, just have no cash for the racing softs...)
 
God damn this car loaning ruins the game I'm sorry but why bother playing if you have to borrow other peoples cars for competitions why not earn them or buy them yourself.

Totally pointless feature IMO and anyone who's car goes missing deserves it for being so carp or tight fisted :D

On a side note rant over :p
