GTX 570 price

Wasn't GTX580 on pre-order on the same site for £399 before release? Makes me wonder if GTX570 will be sold for £279 ish.

No chance, £299 I reckon is about right.

Its as fast as a gtx480 and not that much slower than the £400+ gtx580 so will sell well.

With the current crop of games (99% at least) can't say I will be in any hurry to upgrade from my 460GTX either.

Though as usual, it will be "interesting" to watch the pandemonium surrounding the launch (rather like any new graphics card I suppose). Always good for a laugh....

Had it a ferw weeks mate, i am running both at a mild overclock of 751mhz on stock voltage, tbh even at stock they cope well at 1920x1200, a single card at the same clocks was a lot better than my old gtx 275 sli setup, (stock speed but hot running), a few people on here say that gtx 470's run hot/loud, a myth, unfortunately propogated by people whove never owned/used one, with good case cooling, fan profile they can run pretty cool, of course they use a bit more power, but hey, this isnt the greenpeace forum were on tbh.:)

With the current crop of games I'm struggling to justify upgrading from my 280gtx - just isn't anything coming out that seems to need more.
That said I'll almost definitely get a 570 when available for the sake of having something new and shiney:/

This will launch just under £300 & clean up as it offers GTX480 performance :D Someone just unboxed theirs!

I loled at this.

The editor was so happy when he thought Nvidia was so generously sent him a GTX570 as a x'mas present when he first made the post, and then later he got contacted by Nvidia that only the hugely oversized T-shirt is a gift, the GTX570 is only a review sample which he would need to return in the future :D

Oh how he was disappointed and raged :D:D:D

It will offer GTX480 performance for GTX480 price, woohoo!
Well, it's more like an alternative to GTX480...

GTX570=lower power consumption, lower temp, much quieter, BUT at the cost of lesser memory :D

But we'll have to wait and see how well the GTX570 overclock comparing to the GTX480. If their max speed both are about the same, then people that are going down the watercooling route would probably be better off with a GTX480 for the extra memory.

I suspect they will clock as well as the gtx580 which will mean 900+ so will end up being 10%+ faster than a gtx480 overclocked so a much better buy than a similar priced gtx480.

And two would be awesome.:D

Am hoping the gtx 570 comes in at £299 as others have said but i reckon it'll be more like £324.95 lord help us serial upgraders when the new vat hits :(

Can see it being about £300 at release then going up to £325 after a week or so!

GTX 480 prices should come down to around £300 to shift stock I would have thought.

Any chance of GTX 470 prices coming down tho do you think?
