Call of Duty: Black Ops

i've had this for a couple of days. now is it me or does it just the MP feel a little slower paced than mw2?

I found out when I first played it that the flak jacket is pretty awesome,especially in demolition. Can have grenades going off all over the place and you don't die.
Although playing demo on your own is annoying. I always get put with the useless lot. I'll be planting/defusing,see loads of my team around me but STILL end up getting shot and killed:mad:

Yeah, Wyrdo and I just played a game of HQ on nuketown and just about everyone was kill farming. Pointless. We ended the game just about winning and every single capture and defend was done by the two or us. No one on the team even had a defend.

I wish they would totally remove the K/D ratio, people are still obsessed by it. Mines half what it was in mw2 but I don't care. Win win win.

I'm always near the top for captures.
 
Aye, that'll be it. Going back to mw2 after playing bad company 2. I felt like a weightless ghost on a hoverboard, zooming round the map.
Coming from MW2 to BC2, I was like "what the hell, this is so slow, and everything seems laboured and delayed" but I really grew to love the realistic "heavy" feel you get from it. Both great games.
Black ops is slower than mw2, the maps are bigger and more convoluted too so it seems like you're wandering round alone a lot of time in free for all :D

Dunno why anyone bothers sniping on this version. That's the only map worth trying it on and still the snipers get raped. In that time your not capturing either. I don't see the point at all really, especially as you can't claymore up like MW2 or COD4.

Two of us were playing Dom yesterday on Jungle and the rest of our "team" (if you can call it that) were sniping. They spent the entire match sitting in a group of 4 on top of the rock above C flag getting thier backsides handed to them, the other team (at least 4 of them anyway) were all about getting the dom points, after I had switched from party chat and given the "enemy killstreak fodder" a piece of my mind we left lol.

Unfortunately the kiddies still think they have leet skills with a sniper rifle and have thier arses handed to them way more often then on MW2 which in itself is a big problem when playing with such types on objective games in this.

On MW2 2-3 of us in a group can hold down a map and win an objective game, unfortunately on this game I am getting to realise that if you have a couple of bad players on the team it becomes a whole lot harder to win especially when going up against another team of players.

Another great feature of the game is the stats screen before you go in to the match just hit lobby leaderboard it tells you straight away who the farmers are on the other team by amount of captures over kills. Oh a good excuse to post my Dom stats :p

this is alltime with 3 days played

520 Captures (130 this week so far), 655 defends (156 this week so far), 5818 kills (1353 this week so far) with a W/L of 1.77 and a kdr of 1.58 :)

Only thing I wish the stats screen would also show is how many games played in each type.

L96 on array is really good. All the other sniper rfiles seem to be two shot rifles, even if you hit them in the chest. L96 gives me more "one shot kills" than any other sniper rifle.

Edit:

Wow, didnt realise the L96 is the AWP/AWM from Counter Strike.
Hated that gun in CS, nothing quite like getting shot in the ankle and dying.
Refused to use it, even if i ran out of ammo, wouldnt even pick one up off the floor.
Was more of a scout man myself.
L96 /awp / awm way overpowered in CS, needs that power in Black Ops !!
How ironic that the sniper rifle i would never use in one game is now the only sniper rifle i use in another :)
