For a several years now I've been in the habit of carrying a pendrive with me all the time. It has three uses. First, its bootable into PuppyLinux with a full set of applications and utils inc. Truecrypt. Second, it has a full set of Windows Portable Apps, OpenOffice, GIMP, Firefox, Truecrypt, etc., and a lot of repair or recovery utilities. Third, it carries data I like to have with me or that I need to move around. Naturally all the data's encrypted in a Truecrypt volume. Essentially it means I can pretty much run as I want to off any machine I'm sat at plus I've all the software tools I need with me to recover data from or repair systems when friends, relatives, etc. ask me to help out on the spur of the moment.

So folks - What's in your pocket? Do you carry a pendrive all the time and what's on it?

I have a USB drive on my keyring. The only permanent file on it is a readonly text file with my phone number :p

I have on on mine also. It's got all sorts of stuff on it, random stuff mainly like music and peoples contact details and some work stuff. It's handy to have.

Now? My college card as if I leave my room it's the only way I can get in...

Usually... Wallet, Phone, Keys...
