Pics from up there

I started with a small cam but the picture quality was too poor to use on a DVD or computer. The Gopro has a few different settings so can even film at 60 FPS for the fast moving stuff, pity my editing software wont support it.

The cheap ones might be OK but if you want any decent stuff then forget it. The Gopro is also stronger and water proof so can take some abuse.

use a program called mpeg streamclip to convert the h264's from 60 to 25fps then use the new clips to edit with(ie already slowed down)

go pro has made it onto my xmas list :D I just hope my glider has enough lift to carry it.

Moorron, lovely! I'd love to try something like this but I don't know anyone with a RC chopper etc, plus no way I'd be happy strapping my D3s to one lol.

I was a video the other day of some guys who put a camera on a RC plane and flew it over New York capturing video, it was superb!

I don't disagree, matey. But for those who want a bit of cheap aerial movie fun without worrying about pranging a decent camera those under £10-15 jobs are ideal.

You need to use "[*youtube]UTUBEVIDCODE[/*youtube]" without the *s and "s
