yes WOTLK is needed to upgrade to Cataclysm
so ill just buy the WoTLK disc and cata one?

remember when turning in quests to use the Heirloom items cos u get 10-20% extra exp even if u don't use them while leveling
This will not work, blizzard have stated it will not work from 80 to 80.999999999999* at all, it stops at 80.

Well I too have taken the week off for this, to the amusement/bemusement of my work mates
I remember the WotLK starting off, everyone rolling a DK, was crazy busy, this time will be no different, but it's knowing what to do first! Level existing 80's, Goblin/Worgen roll, levelling up professions to get server firsts, oooh where to start

You'll be able to upgrade to CE just fine.
If I bought the digital upgrade today, is there any "free game time" with this? I dont currently have game time and wanted to setup my addons before Cata goes live. I dont want to purchase game time if I get some with my Cata purchase.

I have just installed the physical copy of Cata onto my PC! Tied the game to my account and now ready for Tuesday.
The box is pretty nice art wise. Also the install has the animation of drawing the new races and locations from sketch to full models. Nice. Music feels grander during the install too.

I've been trying the alliance content. Human, at least at lower levels nothing has really changed. Im not sure what its like for other races but certainly Elwyn even the quests havent changed (bar the original few) Really disapointed whereas the horde is a complete redesign almost.
Just got to lvl5 on a Tauren Paladin and it feels great. I loved this area before and I was worried they would ruin it, but they simply havent. Might need to buy the digital copy soon... Can OcUK still get it delivered before Tuesday 6pm?
During the Vanilla period of WoW, Blizzard were often accused of having run out of time when it came to designing Horde side questing as people felt it was noticeably less polished than the Alliance equivalent. I've experienced both sides extensively and I'm not convinced about the merits of this argument, but maybe Blizzard have injected a little more effort in the Cataclysm redesign for Horde. I've not tried the new stuff yet as I've not had a subscription for a while.
