Jonny69's inventing shed: mechanical crushing hand

You couldn't be bothered to hire a tux.....so you go to all this work :rolleyes:...personally I couldn't be bothered to make Tee Hee's claw tbh.....nice work though, top marks OP :D
 
I think if I ever wore somenthing like that to a party I'd have torn the seat in the taxi, bruised my girlfriends arms and smashed something expensive before I got thrown out.

I can't get a huge amount of leverage at the moment so I might remake the mechanism. I've only chopped up some important paperwork so far, accidentally.

Can't get a can of beer in it but it looks like most other things in the fridge will fit! I'm going to do a Cooking with Jonny69 thread in the week, prepared exclusively with the claw :p
 
That thing is definitely a weapon, I won't be surprised if we see in the news that a man has been arrested for possession of a mechanical claw!
 
wow great you have some effort to make this, i would have drawn it up and got it laser cut myself. But still like the idea and the amount of effort into cutting the plate out by hand!

Can you make one for my GF downstairs? An Iron on one arm and a frying pan on the other? lol

Lol, I haven't got CAD or a laser cutter, but I have got a tasty 18V jigsaw and grinder. And plenty of 1mm cutting discs :D
