Yes, because I'm sure everyone you call a friend is grammatically perfect and only ever posts perfect status updates, right? Most people are not like that, I'm hardly going to say 'I dont ever want to hear from you again because your internet posting fails' :p

You can block people like that on your news feed. Hover your mouse over the right corner of their annoying message and an option will appear to remove them from your news feed.

So you can still be facebook friends, but you won't have them cropping up on your news feed. I block a lot people on my news feed so only get updates from the people I'm genuinely interested in.

God no!! lol :D But that is what the 'ignore' button is for.
It is a great way for me to stay in touch with mates/family back home in foggy London town.
 
Argh, I installed the new Facebook but I have decided I'd like to go back to the old one but I only have the new Facebook in my Programs list and no way to restore the old one!

It's made by Microsoft I presume? I'm only asking as my dad has one of those new Apple Mac thingies and he said he wants to try Facebook on it. I keep telling him you can't use Microsoft stuff on an Apple Mac as they are only for making things like photos and videos and stuff, not serious applications.

I was also wondering how to update your layout, so i cleared my cache and went to a friends page and it said do you want to update, i said yes.. now it wants to know more information about me
 
Facebook has changed my life in what I can see a good way, chatting to my friends and seeing updates by photos from back home hours away. Not only that but my Dad who lives around the other side of the world who uses Facebook too is a great way to stay in communication not only by chat/text/photos. It is also a nice free way for me to text my Dad in Australia by using the Facebook app on my iPhone, and he the iPhone too to reply back to me.

The convenience of it all has been fantastic for me to be socialised with many people I care about, and see what people are up to. I agree I have people on my Facebook from time to time who I may not chat to often, but it is nice to see what they are up to (in a non-stalking kind of way :p).

100% percent agree.

The new profile layout will take getting used to it but it has its advantages, I think I like it.
