this might sound strange but how do I know if a tv is wall mountable?

I'm looking for a new TV that I can hook up to my PC and play my XBOX on it.

looking to wall mount the TV so obviously one of those thin ones would be most slick.

budget is around the £500 mark - any suggestions? Also need suggestions for the bracket.

and how do I know if it will be wall mountable?

oh okay thanks

btw any of your got pictures of your tv wall mounted?

have any of you actually put the cables into the wall?
must look neat

you have two options..

1) use trunking which sits on top of the wall and has the cables in it

2) chase out the wall.. much more expensive, but looks much nicer

option 2 - where you break the plaster put the wires inside and then plaster over?

lol sounds insane - but if you want to add wires later on it will be missions.

I think option 1 for now much less messier. or just run the cables nice n neatly
im thinking wall mounted tv with a nice shelf underneath it!

Buy these sorts of items on eBay. I picked up some nice swivel & tilt brackets (and some fixed) for a fraction of the price of the highstreet.

Chasing out the plaster isn't that hard. Obviously it will be messy, but if you are prepared then it won't take long at all. Get a nice brush faceplate for the cable exit, and if you want to pull more cables leave yourself a pull rope, or sink some trunking in the wall.

Here's my attempt at wallmounting a TV (link)

Not the one I bought, but here's an example of how cheap you can buy the fixed brackets for.
