His rig should be ok ???? or not.?
 
So I have patch 4.0.3.13329 (which is apparantly the latest one 4.0.3a according to that wowwiki patch mirrors site) but it's still making me download a 9gb file. WUT IS DIS?

If I just download 4.0.3a which is like 144mb, what will that do?

Yes more than enough,server lag has to be expected im afraid,the game is only 1 day old and there will be lots more people playing and straining Blizzards networks ,new players,players resubbed and not including the already 12 million subscribed.

I havent even started Cat yet,i will in a few hours or so,but im expecting lag at some stage of playing cat in the early days.

Blizzards Staff must really hate there expansion release days,with all the support they need to provide,it must be mayhem.

You will be able to get all 3 of these for way cheaper than £54

Edit:

Ive found them for £44,so not that much cheaper,im sure if you have a good search on goggle you will be able to get them cheaper

Does it cost £54 to upgrade via Wow ie: your account?

But come on, after 5 years you would think they would know how to manage an expansion (which is pretty much on the level of a new launch) by now. Yet it still happens every time :o

ho-hum! BC2 for me this evening instead me thinks!

Yes, reformatted the PC a few weeks ago and have only just put the Cata disc in this morning. Although my brother had the game installed up to Lich King and he still has the 9gig download, we just haven't played it for a few months.

Might be worth installing from the WoTLK DVD, that had everything. No idea what the Cata one has.

On topic more - sad face at the Argent Dawn queues. I joined at 2000!
 
After buying the game off blizzards store (damn im weak :p) im sitting in a stormscale queue. Currently 1500~ Was 2200 ish when i srarted. it reckons 1 - 2 hrs lol.

My brother had everything installed up to Lich King though, and he still has this huge file. We haven't downloaded any of these recent patches during the pre-cata events as we haven't been online.
