Ah i see,but ive had Cata installed for days now and made sure all the updates were downloaded ready for release day days ago?

Just logged out of game and the game is upto date with patches/updates?

Do you think i need to reinstall from scratch


Here is a post from Blizzard not sure what to make of it:
We’d like to take a moment to clarify how we’ll be delivering World of Warcraft: Cataclysm cinematics to players who purchase the expansion digitally through Battle.net or download the installer from the web in the future.

Prior to the December 7 launch of Cataclysm, all current World of Warcraft players will receive the Cataclysm intro cinematic as part of an upcoming patch. In addition, all other in-game cinematics (including previous ones such as the Wrathgate movie) will be available for download to players who have not previously installed them. These cinematics will be automatically downloaded in the background while you play the game, after other critical game data has been received.

Played for a few hours today and last night. Levelled Archaeology rather than checking out the new zones, still managed to get half way through 81 from the XP from finding fragments. Solved 1 rare artifact too for the Skeletal Raptor Hatchling. Really after the mounts though rather than the pets.
 
- Everyone has the intro cinematic. If you have all the data the other cinematics should be there too. Ticket it if you think this is a bug.

- There is NO need to install any OLD expansions.

- If you install from the latest DVD just get on with it. Yes, it will need to download stuff. Stop crying about it.

- If you are all up-to-date (4.0.3a) don't install from the DVD. Open the Launcher and click the Upgrade to Cataclysm link (big orange button at the top). Enter your battle.net details, then the CD key as requested. You will then download an additional 800MB of data.

just hit level 41 on my hunter.

Still keep telling myself im going to make another character but i cant get around to it!
 
sorry for once again more noob questions just about to hit lvl 17 on my hunter, but just a few questions:

1: Im using the raptor i got at the start with my troll hunter as pet, he seems to be good at giving out damage but pretty average at tanking, although i will be sad to see him go (:p) im wondering if theres anything else i should look for?

2: I chose leatherworking and skinning and although it seems pretty simple its a pain having to do it, im thinking about changing it to mining at least as it seems easy to make a bit of money off, would this be a good idea?

Lol, not sure if it's the same on other servers.. but the entire worgen population is stuck in the starting city at level 12.. the zone is empty as the last quest is bugged causing everyone to get trapped. You can't run out the zone, get a battle invite or (<15) a dungeon or two to pass the time..
 
anyone suggest a class they really enjoyed leveling up im loving my hunter everytime i try another character its like wow how boring is this.

same tried paladin got to level 8 but it was just boring, warlock is similar to hunt but more capable of handling more than one target, might be fun :)

Im thinking of trying priest myself.

Tried Priest and Warlock both made it to level 3. :o

Edit : Also sometimes when im accepting quests the description in the little window just appears for a second then vanishes and i just have to click accept without being able to read what the quest is etc. any ideas i just ran repair will see if thats fixed it.
 
Classes tend to be weak when you start playing them(level 1-20 really) and get much more enjoyable at later levels, whereas I found the hunter great at the beginning mainly for the pet, but it got old at about level 40. Created Paladin, hated it at first but then started really enjoying the class and hit level 80 with him.

Started my hunter today and hes level 17 but ive been playing about with professions and things too.
 
Can't believe how boring the Worgen quests are. I've really tried to plow through them today and got my hunter up to level 24.

I just want to get my character over to the Eastern Kingdoms as I really detest Kalimdor. Darkshore and Ashenvale are the ****ing pits! :mad:

yeah i've no lifed it quite a bit. :D

Think the other reason i can't get into another character is because i always want to be human but don't really wanna do that starting zone again as i only done it yesterday might try pally some time soon though.

cool, do you know if the type of pet matters that much? ive still got a raptor not sure if i should look for something else.
