***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Just done the Like the wind series. Used a fully tuned Veyron for the daytona circuit. Slow down enough for the corners and it's a doddle. Used the Furai Concept for the Indy oval. It was like this car was made for this event!

So now I have the Minolta turbo'd sat at over 1k HP!

Glad people liked my picture. I'd read a while ago that an ironing board made a surprisingly good stand for a steering wheel and it was a good way for me to try out my steering wheel to see if getting a proper stand was worth it or not.

I'd mentioned this to a mate a while ago and I remembered him saying that one of his lifes regrets would be not seeing me trying to play GT5 with an ironing board so I had a bit of inspiration last night :)

Left to right movement is stable although it does tend to move around a bit forwards/backwards. Really looking forward to getting my Wheelstand Pro next week.

LOLWUT? the 458 is faster in real life around Ferraris Fiorano track, it seems faster in the game, and is cheaper

Sorry I thought the quote said 458. I got one early on and it got me through about 40% of the races once upgraded.

Yellowbird 87? I just got one in the used cars.

Yeah same! Couldn't help myself.... ;)

Costa di Amalfi is the track I miss, loved that one :(

Also just done the Pickup Truck Daytona, my GOD B-Spec is ****ing useless.

400kg less than stock and 200bhp more wouldn't allow him to win it, 300bhp more, still no, custom gearbox? still no, took a custom suspension setup with 2 degrees of camber y0 to get him to go round the corners properly and still only won it by ~0.2 seconds.

Better not have any more issues like that, it was ****ing ridiculous.

PS: I want my wheel back to do some things, too hard otherwise :(

God this Superspeedway Indy race in Like the Wind is getting on my nerves. Just got Silver but the AI always seem to attack me on that last corner!
