anyway here you can have a look, this might help you a little. but i don't know how up to date it is:)

Boars rock as pets levelling, they open with a charge so instant decent aggro. I pretty much used one up to 80, then swapped it out for the fastest attack speed animal I could find.

Okay, question.

Just been to SFK to try and do my Druid quest. It's me and the girlfriend, whos a priest.

We go in there, both level 25. I pull three mobs - one elite and two non. We wipe.

Okay, that's a strange one - all three mobs were level 19, yet that happened.

So we try again, pulling carefully and one by one. It's a long and slow process but we make it to the first boss, who promptly wipes us all over the walls in double time.

Is there something about this instance that i'm missing? I used to be able to pretty much solo most of the place at level 25?

I'm fairly certain than Dungeon Elites are on a different scale to World Elites. Soloing 19 Elites out in the world should be easy enough at 25, but i'm not conviced that +6 Levels is enough to solo a dungeon with ease.

Of course, I might be wrong, but nobody else has responded.

Hmm I'd say you're right, dungeon elites are on a different scale to world elites. If I remember correctly the SFK mobs are bloody hard for the lvl anyway!

Going to make a Worgen, does anyone have a server recommendation? I play very casually.

Managed to get to lvl81. :D

Yeah I know it's not power levelling, but I worked 12 hours yesterday and only played from 6pm to 9pm. Did most of the underwater zone quests, and did one run of BRC with the guild. I made about 500g in that time too, and replaced 3 ICC epic items with greens and blues. :)

It's tricky levelling though, I heal in dungeons (druid) but use cat for questing, so I have to collect 2 sets of gear. I suppose I'd be better off changing my o/s from cat to moonkin, as the gear would work pretty well for healing or dps?

Edit: From a quick Googling, it seems healer/moonkin is the way to go, and use moonkin for solo'ing and quests...

I heal O/S in dungeons with my DPS gear. never had a problem :D

At 85 though yes, you will want to gear up properly. I always gear up Healing first as you get waaaaaay more runs in as a healer than DPS.

In WotLK I was mainly healer, but ended up with a mix of dps/healer gear. It mostly worked for most situations, but I think I'll try and focus my rolls on healer items since most dungeons will be run with the guild now, and I need to be as good as I can so I don't let the team down - it's not like a PuG you'll never see again. :o ;)

Currently leveling an Alliance Priest (lvl 36 at the moment) on Thunderhorn. Anyone on there with an active guild? (also have an 80 DK with really crap defense kit).

Is it worth going dual talent spec this early? Currently leveling quickly enough on my own in shadow spec of course but does it cost more than 10g later on?

Well i maybe joining you lot in wow again ive not played since wow came out and i left before 1st expantion. Few people at work play this so im gonna see how it goes

cool, do you know if the type of pet matters that much? ive still got a raptor not sure if i should look for something else.

I used a hyena for quite a while, then swapped to a raptor but I've been using a bear since about level 45 (I'm 71 now). I got a devilsaur and a cat (king bangalash) and at my levels I didn't notice a massive dps difference - I just prefer the bear as tanking pet rocks. He does good damage and he can keep the agro for multi mobs and I can heal him up while killing. He has saved my bacon many a time.

I'm levelling a pally just to experience the new bits in the 'old content' but levelling my hunter was more enjoyable than my other classes - I think because you have a pet to look after but I guess each to their own.

Howdy all,

So i played WOW years and years ago (before burning crusade) and with he changes cataclysm has brought about i'm tempted to try it again.

There's a 10 day trial knocking about i might give a go but i have a few Q's...

First bare in mind i've never been a power leveler when i hit x9 level (i.e. 19, 29, 39 etc) i tend to spend a good while pvping for gear and fun, and i tend to avoid dungeons, i also would never raid i just don't have that kind of time available.

Now i'm wondering, how has WOW changed?

Also does anyone know what the trial contains? will i get to see the new cataclysm world? as from what i hear a lot of the starting areas etc have changed? will i be able to play a worgen?

Thanks guys.
