Hmm, hadn't considered that. Didn't think the tamper mechanism would work the other way.
I don't like the idea of messing with another man's car, but its 12.34 and it's still going off with the threat of getting worse when the battery gets to a critical level. We have work tomorrow, and it's not even the neighbour's car (like it makes a difference at this point) so our collective patience is starting to wear a little thin.
When the battery went flat on one of my cars, I connected the jump leads to my other car and as the alarm was in a last armed state, it went into tamper mode and set the alarm off. The same thing happened when I removed one of the battery terminals. The battery backup in the siren knew that the alarm was armed and when removing the battery lead broke the circuit, it set the alarm off.
I'm surprised it's been beeping to indicate a low battery though, most will stay quiet until completely dead. It may be a proximity sensor or something like that being triggered. I take it just's one beep every now and then?
I sympathise with the noise though. Things like that really do annoy me.
