Anyone had any dealings with Mountune or Dreamscience

Will look into that option as well. Been offered a bluefin quite cheap and a Magnex cat-back. Just need to get a fmic to complete the car, more confused now than ever!

Magnex is a decent exhaust, got one on mine, and their 200 cell cat as well.

You can get a new intercooler for around £300 something like an airtec, etc. my I/C is being made to order at the minute, and cost £500.

Code:Red level 2 with exhaust/cat got me 274, and very good smooth day-to-day driveability, no dreamscience "Oooooo look, I've got 7 remaps" here, lol.

Ive got the Dreamscience solution and find the selection of maps you get more than enough to keep me interested :) That along with the DSCI Induction kit, and full Exaust system suits me down to the ground!

All of the above is on offer atm, go buy! :)

depends if he wants to modify past 260 later. If you want to fit new turbo's, different down pipes etc at a later stage, then DS would be the way to go, as Mountune wont create a new map for you, where as with DS you can go to a mapper and they can tweak it for higher stages of tune.

I still believe Mountune will be the better car though.

Well from what i am led to believe, the standard turbo is only rated by kkk to 260 BHP. Eventually i would have to go with a different one [ GT28 ] for anything over this?

You don't have to really, there's plenty running the car comfortabley at 300bhp on standard turbo's, mines been running 274 for around 6 months fine now. I've heard more problems of aftermarket turbo's failing than I have of standard turbo's failing running higher maps.

There's certain maps like Turbo A and Turbo B from dreamscience which need a different turbo to function correctly, but running most DS maps, BF, Mountune, or the Code:Red maps, you should be perfectly fine on the standard turbo, and your money would be better spent elsewhere.

not having a go at your car or anything,

but Drivers Republic prooved that quoted figures are nothing. Graham Goode quoted 300bhp for their kit.

In a series of races against a mountune car, the mountune car won every time.

But its not all about peak horsepower figures.
